We are planning a minor update to Stable 2.4, so here is a snapshot to test some fixes out before we backport them.

[Keyboard] Make Developer Tools Element Inspector mappable (VB-51267)

This doesn't seem to work at all. I set it in v settings to Ctrl+Insert, but in the inspector the tooltip still says "Ctrl+Shift+C", and pressing Ctrl+Insert does nothing, whether dev tools is docked, focused or not.

[Sync] Add links to Vivaldi.net sites on the settings sync page (VB-49123)

These new links seem to always show up when you search for something, e.g. "tab", even though here is no text in them with "tab"

Confirmed now UA spoofing working on dailymotion, still some of the videos that once complained about not being able to play them, show some decoding artifacts.

This, at least on my work pc, that has Intel on board graphics and had to force chrome://flags/#ignore-gpu-blacklist enabled to even make them play.

@LonM said in Crash fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1504.6:

[Keyboard] Make Developer Tools Element Inspector mappable (VB-51267)

This doesn't seem to work at all. I set it in v settings to Ctrl+Insert, but in the inspector the tooltip still says "Ctrl+Shift+C", and pressing Ctrl+Insert does nothing, whether dev tools is docked, focused or not.

I had to remove the default ctrl-shift-C shortcut and then I could assign it to the dev tool element inspector, but I can see it works as a toggle for me.
If I have dev tools open, it first closes dev tools, pressing it again, dev tools pop up and I can select a page element.
I confirm that ctrl-ins can be assigned but it does nothing.

@ian-coog: oh, good catch. It seems that this is a totally separate bug where it's actually Ctrl+Insert that you can't use as a keyboard shortcut. I reported it as VB-51659

@aronand: Looks like ctrl + insert is an old-timey shortcut used for copy / paste.

Is still present the bug that going in the options of the extensions and clicking on "Inspect" Vivaldi crashes, this is serious enough for a stable.
Holding down Ctrl and clicking the Reload button opens a new tab instead of reloading the page by clearing the cache.

I just updated to the latest version and I can see that you can't move the extensions in different places anymore. I mean the icons in the top right corner of the browser. Is this a bug or you've removed the option?

@Aronand yeah probably some system-wide shortcuts like ctrl-ins, shift-ins, ctrl-a etc are better be never remapped.

@meymigrou since some versions you have to use shift+mouse drag for extensions and toolbar elements, to avoid moving them unintentionally.

@ian-coog: The graphics issues might be graphic card related - I don't see them, but it is a known issue that some Intel and NVidia chipsets / CPUs / APUs have problems like that. Sadly there is not much that Vivaldi can do against that, because they "borrow" the drivers from the OS, so they are not under their control ...

Is it just me or has there been trouble seeking most videos with the left/right arrow keys in the past 5-6 snapshots. I keep waiting for it to get fixed and it never does. Anyone?

First posted about here and was confirmed by me
                                          https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/36126/new-tab-selection-options-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1503-4/64

To make it easier to see what the issue is go to CCleaner builds page and middle click on one of the download buttons (Slim, portable etc)
                                          https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds
New page opens but nothing happens. Applies to any download on any site you middle-click on. This is new behaviour.

In previous builds, the downloads panel would make missing downloads (i.e. ones that had been deleted) semi-transparent in the panel. This no longer seems to be the case. I have two questions:

                                            • Is anyone else seeing this?
                                            • Was this change intentional?
