Volume Master: found the bug but need a solution
-
I've found out what is happening with volume modifier extensions: there is sort of a bug which happens in Chrome as well for when you use the extension Volume Master to change the volume of a tab it will prevent the tab from opening into full screen, instead it will open the video frame until the toolbar so Vivaldi I assume prevents this behaviour and so blocks the entire functioning of the extension.
I've tested Ears extensions too and this one doesn't have that bug but in Vivaldi gets blocked anyway.
Is there another way to increase the browser volume? I am on a notebook and I'm tired of having to copy video source link and put it in a videoplayer where I can raise the volume much more.

@urfausto I also used a media player to work around this problem.
I think Vivaldi could have this volume boost control built-in with a single command to adjust it with shortcuts (or mouse gestures).

update: the other extensions actually act the same way even if they can too open full screen: in chrome they act on the webcam/dont-know-what-setting but it shows a box near the tab saying "the contents of this tab will be shared"

@Pesala yeah it's incredible this thing hasn't got any attention and got fixed (by any browser i suppose). it is a problem every notebook user has. and i don't know why browser volumes are so low... guess we'll have to wait a lot to get any reply.

and what about a operating system application? i guess the vieo players act the same or not?
still better than changing the video streaming link for every episode...

@urfausto I have no clue how VLC Media Player does it. Perhaps it simply takes the media stream and amplifies it before sending it on to the sound card or chip? IIRC Audacity can do something similar for Audio clips, and more such as changing the speed and adjusting the pitch to suit, filtering background noise, etc.

I should have searched earlier before trying a few of the volume boosting extensions. I thought I may have done something wrong when trying to get them to work.
