Further stabilization – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2.0.1306.3
-
still crashes after closing a tab. more often as last snapshot!
-
I find this beta version pretty stable and fast, a nice improvement. Except it crashes with Gmail (with a large inbox), for whatever reasons.
-
While I appreciate these stability fixes, it seems to me snapshot is a long way off from stable still.
I still get application crashes to desktop (no error) when close and opening tabs sometimes, quite frustrating. Happens quite a lot when I open and close lots of youtube tabs but can happen with any web content really.
-
Same here, Vivaldi crash about 4-5 times today closing tabs but ...
I restart Vivaldi, all tabs are there and I can work further happily.Cheers, mib

The issue I mentioned in the last snapshot about being unable to type in the addressbar happened again: https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/234477
Although, this time I don't know what caused it. I don't think I had any tabs with textboxes open. I did have a lot of tabs open. And shortly after the browser crashed while closing a tab. Not sure if it was related.
Also, the steps I had from the previous snapshot for causing the unable to type issue doesn't seem to cause the issue anymore. So I haven't been able to reproduce it.

@ugly FYI, I think that this focus glitch has now been fixed internally but the fix didn't quite make it into today's snapshot.
-
@megaboom ... and the crash when closing tabs has now (knock on wood) hopefully been fixed as well but also didn't quite make it into today's snapshot.
-
@aronand: Timing related? It fails 9/10 times for me.
But I'm glad it's a known issue

can't open a new tab.
only when I switch to another tab already opened, my pending tab (or tabs) instantly opens.
