Chromium 67 update – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.16.1221.3

Mouse is so broken
Mouse gestures are randomly disabled and back button goes back 2 pages. -
@an_dz: No, I asking about Windows. And no, I asking for normal installation, not standalone. You can install Opera stable, beta developer. All on one PC, in C/Program Files/Opera (Opera beta, Opera developer) folder.
-
@david-photoescorts: And, of course, there are still present those random crashes when openening developer tools.
I am a web developer and I am having a hard time... -
What I want is to install stable Vivaldi in C/Program Files/Vivaldi, and snapshot to C/Program Files/Vivaldi snapshot or whatever. Not to overwrite one version with another.
-
@paul1149: I get those crashes only after a browsing for a while. I don't know exactly what triggers it but it happens some times a day
-
Developer Tools continues to crash V every time. Also, Gwen's script does not work here (MX is a Debian derivative), in sudo mode anyway. I got no response from the command line at all. Also my time-tested method of placing libffmpeg.so .28.2 in /opt/... did not work.
Since I see no way to go back to the previous SS, very reluctantly I am going back to Stable. SS is too rough a ride for normal usage, for me anyway.

Can not imagine that it does not work!
How did you start it?Several ways. with -Su, with -qS, with -fS.
Without switches, all I got was the Help page. With switches, nothing was written to /opt/... I also tried local mode but - my fault - I did it as Sudo; and that didn't work either. All I got was a blank new command line. But even with libffmpeg .28.2 installed, no mpeg4 would play. Plus the f12 crashes, and some crippled extensions, I think it's time for me to retreat to the stable channel. I regret it, but it's for the best.

@gwen-dragon
For me: STR:
- Open Vivaldi
- Hit F12 to open Dev Tools
Expected:
Dev Tools openActual:
Instant SegFault - bye bye V.Notes: My dev tools are set to open in a separate window. Perhaps this makes a difference, but I can't get into them to change and test!

Mine are too. maybe that's the determining factor.

Does anyone have an issue with Back going back 2 pages?
I usually use mouse gestures for Forward/Back, but I also have on my mouse a couple of buttons for forward/back.
The back button seems to be registering twice with this latest snapshot, and I go back 2 pages
Gesture, and back button on UI work as expected.
I have tested with other browsers and the last snapshot of V in a VM and the mouse button works as expected.

Forward slashes? That's Linux, not Windoze... your path nomenclature is wrong.

I'm trying to use Google Hangouts extension - crashes V every time with this Snapshot. Removed/reinstalled, same thing.
Anyone else have issues with Hangouts and this Snapshot? I'm on Linux Mint 18.3 64 bit using 64 bit V. Thanks! -
How is the 1.15 scrollbar regression coming along in this version?
It goes by various numbers, but VB-39039 may be the main one.
-
when you chose update it runs and runs but never does anything?

Hello!
When duplicating a tab the size of the web page is reset to be displayed at the 100% scale, when in the configuration the scale selected to be 150%.
Since several versions I have problems with the mouse. In Windows 10 if in the configuration the behavior of the mouse wheel is changed to a higher jump than the default one, when using the scroll of the page, the wheel stops working and you have to give "reload page" so that go back to work.
-
What is your setting in Settings/Webpages/Default Webpage Zoom?
And what is your setting in Settings/Webpages/Default Webpage Zoom/Use Tab Zoom?
-
-
@ayespy I have mentioned the odd behaviour of "Use Tab Zoom Before"
If I set Default WebPage Zoom to 120% and clone the tab, I would expect the cloned tab to be @ 120% but it's at 100%
If I disable "Use Tab Zoom" then whatever zoom setting the current tab is at, say 150%, the cloned tab is at the same zoom level.
-
@pesala exactly. Use Tab Zoom defeats default zoom in some cases.
