can you make it work or do you have it working?
thanks. -
neither volume booster works
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/volume-booster/ejkiikneibegknkgimmihdpcbcedgmpo
it seems by browser is blocking the sound modification and i don't understand how.
-
Neither do anything on YouTube videos. I wonder if they are designed for MP3 players?
-
also this one doesn't work:

there must be a problem with vivaldi...
-
@gwen-dragon many thanks.

I remember trying out some of these myself a year back, but never thought it's Vivaldi's fault
– hope this gets fixed.

It's still an issue at least a year and a half later if you tried them a year previously when you posted.

@NineWest It's good that you bumped this. I never uninstalled the volume master extension and just tried it out on youtube. It's working now. I still have to test it on other sites, but seems like the underlying issue has been fixed in one of the releases we had since then. I'm on latest snapshot and OSX.
edit: works on twitch too

I'm on the latest stable version 2.2.1388.37 and Windows 10. The only sound increasing extension I've gotten to work so far is one called Volume Booster. That was after trying quite a few before it.
-
Couldn't get any volume booster extersion to work (2.7.1628.33 (Stable channel) (64 bits).
-
any update? on 2.8.1664.40 still do not work...
-
I have tried 9 different audio related extensions, and none work in Vivaldi. I have to assume the root issue is the same. Personally, I prefer Volume Manager and am itching to see it working in Vivaldi ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/volume-manager/abnhonfioiokelhdappjknfaannlncac ).
Vivaldi: 2.8.1664.44 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10 OS Version 1903 (Build 18362.418) -
Yes audio extensions seem to be a common problem in Vivaldi.
I would like to use the Butterchurn visualiser but it won't even open.It may be worth trying a volume boost userscript instead

-
Sorry I can't advise a best option, I haven't tried any of them.
I will get round to it later as I could do with an easy way to mute or change the browser volume -
@Dr-Flay I was aware of [*]monkey extensions and user scripts, though hadn't actually used them. I have a working script in place now. Thanks for the tip!
-
@NineWest This script works for me, but I've only tested it on YouTube. https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/389804-boost-volume
-
Great to hear you found one that works.
I use tampermonkey these days as it allows you to sync the scripts in other browsers
-
@tupto It worked for me on Twitch also which is a site I wanted it for. I think using the reverse method of boosting turns the volume down. I know it should be obvious but on a couple of occasions I haven't been able to tell as weird as that sounds.
