We are continuing with 1.15 stabilization, fixing bad regressions. Today’s snapshot contains a fix for the recently broken lazy loading.

Oh yes, that was much needed!

HTML5 Test results now = 528 on a par with Chrome.

This build force closes a lot......
-
Recent snapshots have been getting worse and worse here.
My habit is to read RSS feeds in QuiteRss. I'm on Linux, XFCE desktop environment, and use QuiteRSS on one desk space, and Vivaldi on another. Up till this snapshot, I could send the QuiteRSS links to Vivaldi, which would open them quietly on the other deskspace, and not commandeer focus. After clicking on all the QuiteRSS links, I would close it, then go to Vivaldi to read the pages.
This snapshot, however, immediately closes when a link is sent to it from another program, then immediately reopens. And since I'm on the QuiteRSS desk space, that is where it reopens, taking focus and manifesting on top of QuiteRSS. This situation is a step backward in my view, and quite an inconvenience.

@paul1149: for me it's visible as something that was happening before:
- i have 3 windows open
- I click a link in external application
- Vivaldi opens the link in previously focused window
- Vivaldi focuses the newest window, regarless when I was using it
EXTREMELY ANNOYING, especially because it was happening for long months before it was acutally fixed, and finally got fixed and now it's back
@ruario pls, don't let them release without fix for this

This bug has been annoying me for some time as well, and I would love to see it fixed.
I have also noticed the force close issue when I tried opening a link from an external application. I am on Windows 10 x64, with the 64-bit version of Vivaldi. And it appears Tab Zoom is still broken, though that's far less annoying than the other two issues.

I am not able to watch embedded YouTube videos, e.g.
close to the bottom of this page:
https://vivaldi.com/If I copy the video URL and do a paste&go into the address bar, it will play fine.
It has been like this for several snapshots.
Win10x64 Vx64
-
@helsten2: That video plays fine for me. I'm also on Windows 10 (64-bit), but using the 32-bit version of Vivaldi.
-
@gort: hmm, so what could be the problem?
If I use Opera (even V12.17 !) or IE, it plays fine here as well ...
... AND it plays if I open the page in a Vivaldi Private Window ... Strange. -
@gwen-dragon: Good catch!
Ghostery.Thanks a lot!
I am also running Vivaldi on two Win7 machines with the same extensions enabled - and I have no problem there...
-
I dont see any bug, except: toolbar titles does not disapear, till you click in the page.

- [Regression] No hand mouse pointer over links VB-38823
from previous snapshot still isn't working

For some reason, opening links from Skype causes Vivaldi to close down and then reopen with the new tab in focus. Reported.
-
@retoree Which operating system and what kind of hardware? Unable to reproduce this problem here.
-
I was hoping "lazy loading" was addressing the hanging focus, but it isn't. Focus is still not released from an element until a new UI element is hovered or the page is selected (becomes active). This does not occur in the current stable branch
-
@sjudenim Developers are still working on the focus problem. This would, of course, have no relation to lazy loading or hibernation, which are completely separate sections of code.

Hi.
In that version, addons dialog boxes are showing outside the window, is such way that I can see only small part of it. You can see it by clicking right upper icon of the addons. -
Was wishful thinking on my part. Thanks for the update
