Regression fixes and better macOS emoji support – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.15.1137.3

@hadden89: Yes they changed it a while back in chrome.
-
@xyzzy: I know that, but I don't care, I want the same on Linux !
-
@christoph142: It doesn't help me on Linux...
I use emojione-picker on Linux, but it's not as easy as the MacOS feature, it seems. -
@ian-coog
Hmmmm strange, I deleted all cookies + cache. Now it works again. -
@zandathrax Wait, if that site works by faking the user agent, it's not Vivaldi's fault, but that site is blocking Vivaldi, or they're not even thinking it's worthy to consider it. Write to Prime video webmasters and tell them to support it.

Finally! Thank you.

Same issues 4 Snapshots in a row now.

When clicking on the scroll bar and going outside of it (on page for example) and releasing the mouse button it still acts as it's clicked and scrolling around every time I move the mouse. Clicking on the scroll bar fixes the problem. I checked mouse gestures and didn't see this anywhere.

The delay of descriptions that pop up when your mouse is hovered over an icon, such as Home or Refresh, carries over to the page instead of staying in the address bar where it should be. It pops up wherever the mouse cursor is at the time when the message is meant to show.

There're two problems right now, that brings a lot of pain in my life:
- Mouse gesture "Open link in new tab" usually opens a new blank tab in 50% of attempts.
- Embedded youtube videos don't work at all or you can play video, but can't stop it or use other controls.

@aristofeles Same here. Mouse gestures are still broken.
To me it feels like the righ-click of the mouse sometimes get's "stuck" somehow. Whenever I notice the mouse gestures not triggering, clicking the right mouse button once (without gesturing) triggers the last gesture that didn't go through. It's annoying, but not annoying enough to have to downgrade (yet)
-
cant use mouse gestures in Internal page.
plz fix it.And wish you can make Multiple command in one mouse gesture,just like Opera 12.
i like to setup Mouse gestures as the following.
1)close current tab and activate the left tab.
2)close current tab and activate the right tab.

For me so far after several hours, this SS's Gestures are vastly better than the past few SS's. They are still not yet "perfect", given i still get occasions where i have to repeat a gesture two or three times before it works, & many times instead the context menu appears instead of the gesture actuating. However on the plus side, so far not a single SS crash using the Close Tab gesture [cf 3 - 4 crashes yesterday with prior SS].

@ian-coog
Really strange on another machine it also helped to clean cookies and cache. But on a third one I needed to type "thisisunsafe". That's rubbish! I hope this is just temporary. A self signed certificate isn't generally unsafe. -

@ian-coog
That's one of the reasons I already thought at the very beginning, that going with mozilla would have been probably the better decision. Google isn't my friend an has to much influence on Chromium. Google also tends to incapacitate their customers. The times when Google wasn't evil were already over when Vivaldi started. -
With the previous instantaneous and this I have the problem that, in some cases, the mouse wheel stops working. Does it only happen to me? I have done a clean installation of "Vivladi" and the same thing happens. It may be an extension or combination of several of them.
Offtopic. I do not know much about the English language. Once in a forum I found that they use a word / concepts to name that situation where with a program you expect that when you give a button or command something happens, but it does not do what you expected. Does anyone know how to tell me the name of such a concept? I did not write it down and in the end I forgot it. I need a job.
Thanks in advance.

@steffie Yeah, the "having to repeat gestures 2-3 times" seems to have to do with the weird right-click issue I mentioned. Try it yourself. If you draw a gesture exactly once, and it doesn't go trough, just click the right-mouse button once, and see what happens. This is starting to look more and more to me like it's not specifically the gestures that are broken, but the handling of the right-click.
But I agree that it has become better. It's just still a good bit away from being like it was before again.

@gwen-dragon: tyvm, the problem had gone. anyway it was a fresh install and it looks like a bug
-
Right-Clicking still giving me problems, but its easier to re-activate now after it breaks by switching tabs then coming back to the main tab. I hope it's fully fixed soon.

It is not possible to select text, which is longer than the screen height, with the mouse. Is it a known bug?
