Open History Panel Items with Single Click
-
We already have an option to open Bookmark and Window panel items with single click.
The same option for History panel should be also implemented. -
it's not middle click on history button (panel)?
Or I misunderstood the request? -
@hadden89 no, I thought the classic left mouse button ;-). This is also in the Window panel (added to the description)
-
Any progress?
-
@kukuro nope, any progress yet
-
The lack of this feature is really really bothering me - it exists in firefox and chrome, and I'm so used to it, I end up having to open the history page twice in order to go to a page in the history
-
@themewhosaysme Open the History Panel and use middle-click or assign a mouse gesture to open link in new tab.
-
Aside from the fact that this is not the behavior of any other browser, and that even within Vivaldi it's inconsistent with how bookmarks behave when clicked, what is even the point of requiring double-clicking here?
-
@Aelius The point is that Single-click, Ctrl+click, and Shift+click are used for selecting multiple history items to delete or open.
Vivaldi is not like any other browser ā that is why we use it.
-
I would preferred an "Open" button beside the Favicon, then allow user to holding SHIFT, CTRL, or SHIFT+CTRL & Left-Click to open the item in new/background tab or new window just like normal links would.
Same with Bookmark panel.
