Geeze if you are worried that much just uninstall all browsers and remove all personal information and reinstall when you get the computer back. Good chance if you have to send it in it's the hardware that's causing the issue and they'll end up wiping it anyway making you have to set it back up once you get it back. As for them going through your personal data not to likely. The big centers GeekSquad, Gigabyte, Asus, etc... want it serviced and back to the owner as fast as possible so solely focus on the problem. The mom and pop shops typically aren't going to take the chance of being sued so they stick to fixing the system and not going through peoples data.

@SkyBorg you'd rather read it again than suggest destroying the computer instead of using it safely. You can not bring such tips to the computer forum. Do you service your computer for money ? And what 's complicated there ? Change the hardware - they've already thought about it for you. Each plug is unique, it will not allow you to stick the iron in the wrong place
The official name of this new technology is "foolproof". Should I clean the fans ? Install the operating system ??? Are you paying money for this ?
Where were you with your tips when Hunter Biden gave his laptop for maintenance ? -

A master password does not really help. It only protects start of Vivaldi, so local attacker can not see data in browser.
A protected profile is only if completely encrypted on a encrypted file system with secured and authenticated access to its files!

-
Please implement this features like when opening browser..I have to put password for the profile....or if someone want o see password..they have to enter passkey for seeing or even accessing
-
@akashtufwud062 The feature request is tagged as WILL NOT DO.
@DoctorG said in Master Password Protected Mode to Protect your Profile:
Yes, the feature request i found in bug tracker was closed, they will not add it. May be consume too much human power and time for small team or something lese. I do not know.
May be chat with a dev explains: -
Thank you Pesala for letting us know that we should not expect this feature. I have been a long time user of Firefox and am really interested in using Vivaldi. Is there a recommendation on how to protect our passwords/logins similar to the Firefox "Primary Password"?
-
@mmason1 What I do is install Vivaldi as a Standalone version on an encrypted VeraCrypt drive. Not only does that protect my passwords and login data, but also my email, and other documents that might be useful to a thief if my desktop were to be stolen. I back up any sensitive data in encrypted 7-zip archives on DropBox and USB flash drives.
Vivaldi and my data can only be accessed after mounting the virtual drive. I also have the Stable version of Vivaldi installed for all users, but it does not share any data with my default browser, which is the latest Snapshot.
-
Vera Crypt -- this is a well-known encryption software. The more famous it is, the more likely it is that methods of decrypting it have already been developed, as well as the well-known Bitlocker. But Vivaldi himself is a little-known software, and his encryption may be more effective.
-
@sphera Nonsense.
VeraCrypt adds enhanced security to the algorithms used for system and partitions encryption making it immune to new developments in brute-force attacks.
-
there are companies that deal with data recovery. And the well-known Bitlocker is not difficult for them. I think it's the same with Veracrypt. You need to read less advertising materials.

I packed and transferred on vivaldi okHey bro,
That's awesome, it works! -
it is necessary to conduct a simple experiment -- to copy User Data and open it in another Vivaldi
-
@Scottdoha
look at what you have written in the address bar -
@sphera
In fact, it just works. You should have various methods to install your browser extension, not just one, right?
