@tianlansha: I actually fixed that by killing and relaunching explorer.exe.
Now there is a new problem, each time Vivaldi starts, it starts as a non-maximized window and I have to maximize it every time myself and it gets annoying.

Sync now failing stating "Sync has been disabled as a result of an external action. You can fix this in Sync settings". Alas it won't let me into Sync settings.
Also CRX Mouse gestures no longer works as an extension in this build.

I really love sync feature. Unfortunately there's seem to be a problem with Vivalid's servers because I always get "Gateway Time-out" error.
I will try again later... -
Yup, seems servers are overloaded. I guess I will try at evening :).

Great news!!! THANKS!!!
But after authorization in 70% of server responses Received error: SYNC_SERVER_ERROR
It seems that the servers do not stand the load.

Unable to login to the sync settings. Vivaldi returns the error: "Login to the sync server failed: Gateway timeout" I'm sure it is due to the number of eager users testing

With sync at long last here now I have to make a clean (dirty) install of V on another laptop.
Thank you Vivaldi! Especially those who devoted so much time and effort to make this happen.
Now to give it the beta(?) test it deserves.Funny thing about sync...it was alluded to in a blog post a couple of weeks ago.

YES! Finally here!
An issue though, I have logged in with my correct username and password, but there's no mention of the connection being established. I logged into the site with the same password, and it worked, so I am assuming everything is correct.If there's not a problem on my end, there should be a visual clue to indicate the browser is synced.
