Just a little reminder: When tabs are on the side you cannot see whether a tab is pinned or not. This has been reported for months or years and hasn't been resolved yet. Thanks in advance!

Just writing to let you know I installed Vivaldi 1.14.1030.3 to test the sync function. I installed it on my desktop pc and then on my 2 laptops. Withing 4 minutes both laptops were completely sync'd with the desktop. So right after loading on one laptop I tried adding a new site where I created a new password and bookmark. I checked the desktop and the other laptop and the data was already to go within minutes of adding this new site. THIS IS GREAT!!!!!

My few tests with the new Sync feature:

Older profile

Update to a regular test profile doesn't sync, I always receive this message:
GetUpdates Response
Received error: SYNC_AUTH_ERROR

Clean profiles Bookmarks test

Testing with 2 clean profiles the bookmarks syncs in +/- 2minutes.

Some deleted default speeddial entries keeps ghosted in the second profile.

Creating a new Speeddial entry in P1 does not replicate the thumbnail in the P2, you have to refresh in P2 to the thumbnail appears.

These are my few tests, I'll try some more.

I did nothing, just leave it and the next day worked fine.

I suppose it were made by dev tweaks on the server, also, right now, the Sync starts also with Vivaldi, the first days you had to login at settings to start Sync.

Isn't working for you?

Is it possible to make a preview of bookmarks (in the main window of bookmarks, not that on the left) with large icons (and image from the site) - as it is done in Opera? So it's much more convenient to navigate in a huge number of favorites.

For some reason my Linux machine at work has set https://bifrost.vivaldi.com:4443/vivid-sync (an extra 4) as its Server URL and it try to login indefinitely, even when the connection time out.
Is there a way to change the address?

I don't think it was ever available for Opera. I am using the latest version 12.18 and that still has no context menu for the bookmarks bar folders.

Hi, I don´t read the whole thread but may a user can answer:
I use 1.4 and some is wrong with the address field, for example if I type an IP address and hit enter nothing happen.
The same with search.
