People seem to be missing the association. Davos is the World Economic Forum. Lisbon is, in a fashion, the Web Summit, akin to a "World Web Forum." In other words, Lisbon is to the Web, as Davos is to world economics. It's like "Davos for the Web."

Think of Cannes as the site for the annual Film Festival. Then imagine the South by Southwest (SXSW) festivals in Austin, Texas. You could speak of SXSW as "A slice of Cannes for music and the masses."
