Option to Lock Pinned Tabs
Prevent back/forward navigation in pinned tabs by disabling the toolbar buttons and shortcuts.
Only as option. Some users might need to navigate in those.

Reload should be allowed.
Lock webpanel to current domain/extension (optional)
I'd like it also for webpanels. If you drag something (script/html file) on a panel it changes, and sometimes you can't go back (you have to remove and replace panel).
But it's not a big issue, after all. -
Download temporary files to the temp dir not the Downloads dir!
If I click "Open" on a file instead of "Save" it should save to the temp dir and open it, not save it to the Downloads dir!
If I wanted to save it I would have clicked "Save". -

Open bookmark item in bookmark-toolbar with a keyboard-shortcut
The user can open the bookmark item with a keyboard-shortcut.
In best case, with a custom modifer-key via preferences and a number. So the user sets ALT, STRG, META (is STRG equivalent CMD from OSX) and combines them with a number.
Example: STRG+2 or CMD+2 opens the second item in the bookmark-toolbar( I know this feature from a FF extenstion, found also one for chrome but like the FF version, this feature should work everywhere in the browser )

Bookmarks access on right-click (something i still miss from the opera days)
-
Keyboard shortcut for copying the URL from the address bar.
For people who use Vivaldi for minimalism (hiding address bar).
-
@pesala This would be so great if it had a optional feature to save to a directory without having a prompt to select what to save it as.
-
[TabTiling] Shortcuts and left mouse-button double click
- Keyboard shortcut to toggle TabTiling and shortcuts to change the tiling-layout.
- Double click on a tab, toggles also TabTiling.
( Toggeling means: Turn this and previous tab into Tab-Tiling-View, or if alread active leaves to single tab-view )

Auto save last session should increase up to 3 session or MORE
Please autosave at least last 3 session on every shutdown. And stop overwrite Last session/tab with Current session/tab on startup, this defeat the purpose of backup copy when the current session/tab is mess-up.

Ability to cancel mouse gestures after a delay. This is a feature of several Firefox mouse gesture add ons and it keeps catching me out that the mouse gestures don't auto-cancel after keeping the mouse still for a second or two.
-
Sync. This is the number one feature I would like. There was some coding event months ago but I've heard nothing about it since. Is there an ETA on this?
-
Speed Dial Editing. I could have sworn these were editable at some point but I don't see an option to do so. It would much simpler to change a URL than save the new URL as a dial, copy/paste the title, and delete the old one.
-
Drag and Drop Speed Dial Grouping. I've seen various "desktops" and speed dial extensions for Chrome do include this so I'm surprised it's not available in Vivaldi. Drag one Speed Dial on top of another and poof! instant new folder waiting to be named Cat Videos.

bad to have them take up that real estate
But there is nothing here just empty space which looks a bit wird, only 25% is ever used. Additional funcionality will be another reason to use side panel. That as an option would be greate.

@zeuslgn Going by the chatter, both synch and an email client are in alpha/internal testing. So far no eta for a release.

Because of a traumatic brain injury I need information presented in vertical lists rather than thumbnails or icons, so I really miss the old Opera tab cycler; it was a thing of beauty. (And ribbon toolbars are worse than useless.)

F2 (Quick Command) list tabs. Shortcut change able.
Alt+w (English Vivaldi) list tabs. Shortcut change able if the language translator add/change mnemonic to the translated Vivaldi UI.
How about those?F2 isn't in MRU order, which isn't very helpful with 300+ tabs. Alt-W pops up something with Lastpass (which I didn't know until a moment ago, but is very cool). What's it supposed to do?
