Every picture tells a story – Vivaldi Browser Snapshot 1.12.955.3
-
Address bar dropdown highlight is still off, bug not fixed.
-
Crashes when using GMAIL all the time. Don't know what the problem is but it didn't happen with previous versions.
-
Ok... I know that I said that I wanted an image inspector but this seems overkill.
-
Thank you. But now when I drag a URL icon to a bookmark folder in the panel the tree jumps to the bottom. This didn't happen in the previous snapshot.
-
Awesome new feature! I'd love if we could the info in a popup window alternatively to the new tab.
Currently does not work with nextcloud's image viewer (tries to download instead).
It would be awesome if it also worked withbackground-image
s (which currently also lack the normal image options). -
[New Feature] Inline image inspector (VB-3075)
Finally! Though it needs some polishing this is a great addition! Thanks a lot.
Btw, it makes me wonder why this can be considered bloatware when images/pictures have become a large portion of the information published throughout the web.

Thank you Vivaldi developers & Team.
One of my wishes has come true.
I needed this feature (for my job for example).
The histogram and white balace information is very useful and awewome!
¡GRACIAS! -

Or optionally as
- an overlay over the page the image is hosted
- as the next tab in a tab stack (creating a new one if required)

@g_bartsch: I confirm, have you already opened a bug report?
-
@folgore101 I just did.
-
I run four windows at a time and in three of them the insertion point ("pipe" character) doesn't show up when I click in the address bar or a bookmark data field. I can style type into the field but there is not insertion character. Does this happen to anyone else?
-
@g_bartsch I noticed this a while ago in one of the other snapshots. Not sure what's causing it.
-
@lonm Thanks for replying. Yes, it's been happening for a while. I finally got around to posting. I'd sure like that bug to disappear.
-
@yro84: Any reason why the extensions Ublock Origin or Adblock Plus don't satisfy your blocking needs? Both work fine in Vivaldi.
-
The image inspector was one of the items I had voted on - thanks a lot for implementing this!
However, it would be even better if the width of the data panel could be increased so I can read the filename on my 1366x768 laptop screen. As it is the panel is so narrow that only a couple letters fit. Or move the panel to the bottom, or... -
@g_bartsch Oh rats! I was all set to do the update this morning, but now i've read this, i'll sit this one out. Sad face.
-
@steffie Yeah, i just checked this by updating V in one of my oS TW VMs, & indeed this bug is also present in the Linux rpm flavour. Sooooooo, no update of my real V in my real OS for me this week.
-
@steffie Sorry Steffie. But it's a big pain. You will not miss the experience.
-
@g_bartsch Yeah Garry, it would be, & given you forewarned me, i'd just rather not go there. There's an older bug, which had come & gone a couple of times in V's timeline, that caused Bookmark Panel jumps to the top of the list, & they always drove me bonkers. Hmmm, my memory is really bad, maybe those jumps were also to the bottom; having written the preceding, i'm now unsure. All i do know is that the jumps were quite exasperating.
Of course, i might not end up having any real choice, coz this bug might not be fixed by the time next week's SS comes out, replete with Sync, Mail, Calendar, Tasks, movable Web Panel items, fully enhanced tab stack manipulations, acme back scratchers, automatic tax returns, anthropogenic climate change solutions, et al... how would i possibly be able to resist updating then?

It has not all exif info. Example.
