Vivaldi 1.11 – Focus on accessibility

You are adding all these great features, which is fantastic, however, my Downloads folder is STILL full of files that I have open whilst browsing and should be in the TEMP directory.
e.g. office files, pdfs (when I'm not using the built in viewer), Citrix launch files, java web start (jnlp) files etc etcThe Downloads directory should just be for files that I specifically download and want to save (e.g. program installers) not for any non-html files that are opened during my browsing session.
This is a weird behaviour that Chrome brought in for whatever reason and you have inherited it.
Opera Presto did it right, surely you can do it right quicker than implementing a mail client! -
Congrats on the latest version!
(Can you add a "deactivate animations"? I know load animations is still there but it doesn't stop the animation from going when the page is already loaded.)

I use this extension to make sure that I make breaks when I'm using my computer: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/break-timer/hklkdbpicdmlpoiellngedpejjkmapei?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog.
It's called "Break Time". Unfortunately, it broke with this update. The fullscreen break notification/timer no longer works properly. Anyone who can help with this?

Is there a Multi-row Bookmarks Bar now? Or is it still just Firefox + plugins, that can do this (and so I keep using it)? Thank You.
-
Okay, so when are we going to be able to move the tabs directly below the address bar?
-
Add synchronization! It would be even better!
-
@hub965 In progress. Test versions already have it.
-
The browser for rebels is a loud enough statement...
True rebels still use Opera 12 ... ))If Vivaldi really wants to become a rebellious platform, then she lacks the air:
- UserJS (Native);
- UserCSS (Native);
- urlfilter.ini Native Ad blocker (As it was in Opera 12 - Minimum load system) advert , etc...

@jonmc: sync, yay! i read the possiblity of bring back the rss reader. that would be awesome. I currently use InoReader. If you could use the Sync feature to remember which feed items are already read, that would be a killer feature.
But first things first. I don't use chrome anymore, but i do miss the bookmark sync -
@jxzero That is unnecessary, just right-click on the image and select "Reload image" if you want to update a change to the animation settings.

ctrl+backspace behavior in adress bar seems to be fixed!
google drive tabs awaking from hibernation still blank after initial page loadI wonder whether i'm the only one ?:) (bug filed)
ps: oh noes, i just discovered new bug: "minimize active tab" does not work correctly anymore! i use it all the time

This regression is already known.

I would much prefer if I could specificy colors for this independently.
Though actually the best would be if there was a recolor only feature. Which would change the standard eye-scorching white background and white text (eg: this page/website...) and other horrid color choices to something sufferable.

@pesala: thx for letting me know
-
Still no single-process mode? You ain't better than Chrome then. Same memory hog.
-
add --single-process to vivaldi commandline
If you need it because you have a lesser powerful CPU, I would consider upgrading the CPU anyway, Vivaldi requires some power. -
Everything above is fine... but I would exchange the all to the mail client.

@An_dz well if there is anything i can do to help out please let me know I pray that its fixed soon I personally think that a entire version numbers focus perhaps 1.12/1.13 should go to media fixes/spoofing or perhaps my feature request for the last few versions for a native user agent switcher would help in the mean time here is the current request for 1.12
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/20037/feature-requests-for-1-12/105
again thoughts please? i really want to help not just for me but the entire community -
@jsjb: Wow! This was not our intention at all, obviously, but thanks for bringing it to our attention. We've been using the lightning bolt / high voltage emoji in places as we're "the browser for power users".
It seems strange that the text of the subject line would be stripped and leave only the two emoji side by side. If that's the case, then I completely understand why it came off as dubious.
Which email client were you using?

...and fixed.
