Vivaldi 1.11 – Focus on accessibility
-
Congrats on the new release!
Just one problem: when I open a new tab, the address bar is not automatically activated anymore. That means I have to activate it first by clicking it, before I can start typing the website/search. That's really annoying?! Is that just me or maybe a setting that I don't get? -
@luetage
Good idea! Much better than yesterday -
@Gwen-Dragon
There are no complaints. Everything is fine! Thank you!
Everyone has different tastes. But it would be interesting to conduct a survey. -
up,up.
-
@an_dz: Damn... so the problem is worse than I thought! No patterns at all!
Anyway, I hope everything could be better soon.

@CptGuapo Try deleting you Yahoo cookies and login again. Maybe something on it.
-
Yahoo Mail still complains about Viv...
Clean installation of Viv x64 with related cookies cleared on Win10 x64.Basic procedure. And unfortunately wasn't enough...
-
@Abome Yep, Regressive, complex, almost ugly. All the symbian fails reunited in one logo, for a desktop browser, it really doesn't suit, may be for a mobile version in the future but even for a mobile version, it does not correspond at all to the philosophy vivaldi
-
@Manase Well, that's your opinion, but it's not universal. Also... possibly a sense of proportion wouldn't hurt? --> it is, after all, just an icon...
-
Thanks guys!
-
@mariap In my opinion, Vivaldi 1.11 is a great example of how digital civilization can look like. And more is coming in. What a nice prospect.
-
Why not an animation option "start playing only when in view"?
-
How in the hell is this logo such a big deal
If you are not happy with it, go check the forums' "modifications" section, you'll find that you can change the logo via CSS pretty easily. Or ask here and be directed to such instructions.
(Also, you can just change the icon in the toolbar/iconbar/whateverbar) through OS very easily. -
@JSJB Mine:
That the text was stripped out is weird.
-
@JSJB Ok, thanks. Will be sure to test in yahoo mail with upcoming newsletters

This post is deleted! -
Given these two changes:
Vivaldi does not update search engines nor does it add new ones on previous installations (VB-28151)
[Search Engines] Update moves modified engines towards end of list (VB-29828)
Did anyone see a problem with their search engines after upgrading to 1.11? I ended up with several duplicates, something that I've never seen before. It seems that it must relate to one or both of these changes.

Still middle button drag "bug".

Phew, finally. Took me approx. 15 minutes to figure out why I couldn't log in here on vivaldi.com when I was already logged into vivaldi.net. I did remember something from the past but forgot it was permitting 3rd party cookies for this action. Wouldn't want to enable them per se. Anyhow - solved
ANYHOW: All i wanted to do is tell you guys that I like the song on the above video. Fresh, positive, light, happy.

[mmb] autoscroll still ends up selecting text and page content while holding middle mouse button down to adjust scrolling speed. It's extremely annoying. Please fix.
