Vivaldi.net Email

hello
I dont know for your specific case but if you read on the first page of this topic you can seeVivaldi WebMail account capacity (mailbox size) = 5GB
max. size per message: 35MB
max. 100 mails per daywait for a competent member
-
Actually, these limitations was enabled for protect from spammers. We will discuss this issue internally.
-
Hello michaelb,
The current limits are 30 emails per 5 minutes and 300 per hour. The main reason for these limits is to annoy spammers in order to get rid of them. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we certainly don't want to annoy legitimate users. How many emails were you trying to send? I could adjust the 5 minute limit if you have a suggestion for a more sensible quota
Cheers,
Steinar -
A link to Vivaldi Community would be good on the email page.
-
Perhaps I was naïve to use a free service for business. I paid a small fee and set up a new account with another provider.
I do appreciate what Vivaldi.net is offering and I wish you all the best.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my situation.
Regards,
Michael B

Hey Vivaldi Mail Team, did you forget us ? ^^
I also waiting for the identifies
Will it take a long time?We have not forgotten about it. The problem has been that due to some abuse by spammers exploited the identities, Vivaldi Mail got blocked by Gmail, AOL etc.
We implemented a way for users to authenticate themselves before activating another identities but we have been cautious to roll this out due to the risk of being blacklisting by major email providers.
There are some issues with some large mail providers we are working to solve.

Some wishes:
Possibility to change my member name that it's not same as one's email address ( because of spammers and privacy ) That's a very important for me
Yes
A real start page for Vivaldi Mail, it must look trustworthy ( Not a roundcube design )
It is otherwise difficult to convince people that you are a serious serviceAn e-mail service that is not based on Roundcube Roundcube is not intuitive. And I think you could make a much nicer service.
Is this your long term goal? Many greetings to the team
Yes. Our goal is certainly to provide simple but fast and solid email experience with better security and privacy.
Changing front page is quick but we want to improve the current user interface.
And in long term, once we have more people, we would develop our own. Thanks for all the feedback.

One little web interface request - the big "Send mail" button with caption. I looked for it about minute for the first time :cheer:
Thanks! -

Will it take a long time? After careful planning and consideration we have finally enabled support for multiple Identities in mail.
They can be edited in mail settings -> identities. There's a new button with a plus sign at the bottom of the page, wich you can use to add new identities. This will send a link to your identity email adress to validate ownership.
Thank you for your patience. -

I was waiting for it. It works great.Thank you !

That is great news & makes me want to use the email account more often.
My only concern is the longevity of this service,
I don't know how it generates revenue & therefore would be worried somewhat about the account sticking around for the long haul.Any information from the moderators re this concern would be appreciated.

Hi guys!
Thanks for the questions. See the answers below.
Actually, we do not generate money from our EMail service. And we have no plans to do that in the future
Also I can say that our EMail service will be part of our next products (yes, vivaldi.net - it's just the beginning) that will be monetized, and this revenue will help us to keep the Vivaldi Mail free of charge and available for everybody.
And, as part of our next products, the Vivaldi Mail will be constantly improved - according our plans and your suggestions, of course
-
Nice news, thanks. Any news, tips, time schedule for next product?

Thanks for enabling identities!
However, this feature doesn't work for me… I added one e-mail address, then waited for a day and I got no e-mail from Vivaldi. Then I added another one and still no answer. The feature is activated, I see it, but Vivaldi does not send a verification email of some sort to my other e-mail accounts (they are on Yahoo). Am I doing something wrong? Although I don't know what, as the process is very simple...
Thanks for your time! -
Hi cezar,
Did you check the spam folder?
-
Of course I checked the spam
Today I canceled the identities and re-activated them. Same story with Yahoo, but it works well with Yandex and AOL. That is strange, especially because I have email forwarding activated from Yandex & AOL to Yahoo and I didn't get any message in my Yahoo inbox. It's either Yahoo filtering my messages from Vivaldi, or… it's time for me to get paranoid... -
I have same issue, It worked with Outlook but not Namecheap.
-
So I created a new Vivaldi identity, activated that identity but no new e-mail is coming in my main account (which is this one - Motionshot) but it is when I login to that other account. Why isn't the feature working correctly?
-
Today I tested another identity for GMX Mail and it works fine. It seems that it's a Yahoo Mail problem only.
I hope this helps identifying the issue!
