Feature Requests for old Vivaldi.net (Not for the browser)
-
edited. nvm
-
Too many buttons for the same thing.Makes it look overloaded and confusing.Would be great if the search in topics in forum is not on a differrent page but the same one and also different color for category of posts and all posts.
-
Problem: Window for writing a post stays open even after submitted
-
Do zoom adjust feature in status bar works with mouse wheel please.
-
Nice work on this!
A few features I would love to see in the future…
-Site specific settings(Blocking cookies, disabling Javascript and so on)
-"Mouse Rocker"(right click and scroll brings up a list of open tabs, even in Speed Dial)
-Set a custom search "provider" by just right clicking in any search field and selecting add to search providers.
-When right clicking//double clicking text you should be able to choose which search engine you want to use! Not just the default one.
-Notes, I'm guessing you might be working on this, if not please add a menu with all your saved notes when a text edit field is right clicked!
-Being able to edit the top field of the browser, the one with the address and search bar. Like adding another search provider and put a progress and info tab(when hoovering over a link being able to see the address in the tab) there.
-Double clicking text shows right click menu.
-
In the forum I would like to see how many times a thread has been viewed.
-
Just installed Vivaldi. Looks great. Keep up the good work.
It would be great to be able to drag and drop a picture from a site into the notes bar.
Now you can 'only' create a snapshot of the whole site which is a neat feature. -

Great work so far. Really ligjhtweight fast browser implementation.
I tried to disable Flash but found no option so far.
Given the current Flash problem that would be a very desirable feature.Best

One thing that I would really really really want to have is the sessions manager a'la old Opera, it's super useful and I miss it very much.
me too
if at leas the "bookmark all the opened pages" allows myself to save them in a folder I could support a bit more of time without a session manager-
Session management
I miss this feature so much…...
Popular browsers made me furious when I realise I can't save whole session for later and close everything -
Adding new search engines through right click on search box on website
-
my lovely RSS client...
-
Incognito tabs
-
Save as *.MHT
-
Back / Forward buttons work with Speed Dial folders
That would be all for this moment...
p-p-p-p-pweeeeaseeee…..PS. You made my day when I found Vivaldi project :cheer:
I love what your doing, keep up the good work!Let's me seee….
-
This is a MUST
-
You can do it, I did
-
another must, mainly when the Vivaldi blogs support it
-
another MUST (and why everybody is calling it as "incognito"? I prefer "private" really haha
-
you can active it going to vivaldi://flags, finding the option about and restart the browser
-
sorry, i didn't get it
=======================================================================
my forum request:Best quotting system
I don't know if the Kunena allows it, but the quoted text could be in a text box or a different color, because it's a bit hard to note who's a quoted text .
And a "multiquote" button -

Would like to see the old password manager from old Opera again. I could press CTRL+Enter when I wanted a password and then choose which one of the saved ones to use.
Don't know if it's possible or if it's linked to the render engine somehow.
-
I wish Vivaldi had a blog like Opera, where developers can post about features and changes that are being made, and users can see every change with each entry rather than having to navigate through the forums and search for that one post that has been edited. Also, Opera has a blog where users can give direct feedback but get ignored without a second thought. If Vivaldi had a similar blog, but users could be heard, I believe you'd get even more feedback and greater acceptance than you already have!

Please, real page down, like Opera 11.64, not like Opera 12.xx
When reading long pages with PageDown/PageUp keys, the last line before pressing PageDown should be the first line after pressing PageDown, not the fifth or sixth line.
The first line before pressing PageUp should be the last line after pressing PageUp.
-
First of all: Great work so far! Vivaldi already feels like the good old 12.x Opera
You even got the mouse gestures already implementedSome features I really loved and hope to get back:
- Page specific settings (Like Cookies, Block Content, etc.)
- User CSS
- urlfilter.ini (
)
- Multi-line Tabs
Keep on doin' your great work!

Is there any chance of Lastpass being supported?
Without this password manager I can't see Vivaldi becoming my default browser. -
I agree, I like the look of Vivaldi, but need Last Pass also.
-
It will be my Default browser, IF….... Vivaldi enable this simple extension -

I've seen a similar message on the Bugs thread, and I do feel bad for being part of such huge discussion where it doesn't belong to. But it's not really our fault, when clicking on the Feedback link on Vivaldi browser's page directs us to this forum, and the Feature Request and Bug Thread forums do not make it clear to be related to the website rather than the browser. No wonder things became like this.
But I wouldn't say this is a bad thing. Vivaldi members are working on making the best possible browser for its consumers, and those consumers are giving direct feedback. If you want to clear the misunderstanding, direct us to a place where we can keep doing it, but this time on a place designed for that. I believe the best would be what I've said a few posts above, having a Blog like Opera's with support for Disqus!

- Adding new search engines through right click on search box on website
=> You can do it, I did
=> It works in 1/3 cases
Additionally "Search engines" combobox in settings gets usually stuck- Back / Forward buttons work with Speed Dial folders
=> sorry, i didn't get it
=> When I open speeddial folder and get into it I can't go back by pressing "Back" button so I must click this little "Up"
Note that this thread is for Feature Requests for Vivalid.net, not for the Vivaldi browser.
