We hear you, and we're working on things. Have a look at What is being worked on, and also the Vivaldi FAQ, and Help page for more information. What about a Recent Visitors category / function in the Sidebar?
Optional of course since not everyone uses it or wants it. -
Album wishes:
[ul]- Custom image sorting in photo albums.
- No deletion of EXIF and IPTC information in the original photos. I want people to know that I made them and with which camera settings etc.
- No recompression of the original images if the owner does not want it, especially not if the recompressed image becomes bigger in size and worse in quality than the original - see test image and commplaint here
(All in sane byte limits, off course. I can imagine that a 200MP uncompressed Hasselblad image is not the thing someone should upload here)
[/ul]

A hidden feature
Please add the link rel="" attributes to the forum and blog pages if possible in any way. If there is a canonical URL too even the search engines would be happy about that.
First wished here.About file uploads:
Yes, i can understand that you don't want to become just another file sharing hoster and to prevent the distribution of … strange ... files - but it is still sad.
Discussing the latest web technologies etc would be way easier if we could post working examples (HTML/CSS/JS/SVG - you name it) and I would really love to move my extension development pages from myop to here, but I don't want to upload that stuff to dropbox or github or any other third party site. -

Totally Agree!
I thought this would be the easiest thing to handle. If I can upload pics, then it can´t be a problem to also upload files? (Strictly speaking, a picture is indeed just a file)
Of course deducted from total data volume. -
one thing I wond like to see on this site a thing called countdown. so people can see people like me can set countdowns for birthdays, events, holidays or any thing else.
-
a way better mail interface you guys design it dont use roundcube

First of all I'd like to thank all whose work has made this possible. I'm testing the photo album feature and questions I have are
1. Is there a way to have a full screen slideshow?
2. I noticed that even though I set the album share permission to everyone someone trying to use the web address to see the photos will not be able to do so unless all the individual photo's permission has also been set to the same level. It would be easier if the album's permission level is extended to all the photos added to the album.Thank you.

At the moment, we have no plans for these:
File storage (Other things have higher priority, and if we add this, will block .exe and .zip, f.ex.)I can live with that. Uhhh, I mean, with incorporating File Storage sans .exe, .zip, f.ex.
I can certainly understand not wanting any type of files that have potential for wreaking havoc.

put in a account recovery system on the site so for say someone gets hack or changes there mind that they want there account back they will have a like ex. 10 days get there account back in active
-
Thanks for all your hard work, ladies and gentlemen!
Get rid of the ranking system (the blue dots) we don't really need that info -at least I don't.
Instead of post number in the top right corner a tme/date stamp would be nice.
When you get the chance, of course… -
You don't see the timestamp in the center? They translate it as "2 hours 39 minutes ago" but hovering it will show the actual date and time in the tooltip. Though I do agree, actual post numbers are pretty useless.
The karma? As you can't import it from My Opera (they didn't have it to begin with) it is sort of useless yet. (Not certain if karma and the dots are the same, if not then both are useless at the moment.) Give it … oh, 3 months, and it may become meaningful. Right now, we all remember what we thought of various My Opera members so they have a karma in our mind which doesn't usually agree with what the board says ...

Debbie i think you guys should put in a recovery system in vivaldi.net so if we get hacked for say theres a recovery system that we will be able to get our account back and maybe upgrade the sign up page instead of email the verification to a email just put like a security code recovery question instead of the sending to another email like for say someone dont have another email and they just wanted to sign up and get in it will be less of hassle.

@carlos:
Server-to-server encryption for both incoming and outgoing email messages. See http://checktls.com/perl/TestSender.pl for more information. MyOpera mail passed tests with flying colors.
+1.
And, as an option, it'd be cool to have a sent confirmation that, in addition to saying the message was successfully sent), says whether or not it was able to be sent to the recipient server securely.
As a bonus, it'd also be cool, as an option, to warn before sending insecurely where it prompts you if you want to go ahead with the send or not.
Don't know any providers that have that, but that'd be something that makes vivaldi unique.

mail.vivaldi.net fails.

Blog
At the old site, I liked a lot the fact that the text input interface was exactly the same as when making a forum post. I am sorely missing this in the blogs.
What I need in blogs is the same as in formus: Type plain text, paragraphs separated by returns, mark some of it as code or pre, and publish. Why make it any more complicated?
The way it is now, looks like I have to author full and proper HTML locally, and then insert it in the source view to publish at the blog.

+1 for recent profile visitors
Regarding mail:
- +1 for server-to-server mail encryption
- I would really like to have text labels in mail buttons.
- Two line mail list
- Feedback messages (message sent, deleted, etc…)
- Better positioned buttons (send button, add contact,..)
- Highlighted preffered actions (New Mail, Send)
