Well, I don't think that anyone would make the effort to even remember your favorite requests (not to mention notifying you about them being implemented) since everyone has their own list of such kind and sometimes it's hard to keep track of our own "pet" requests being taken care of (or not). So, here's some advice from me:
- The best way to keep up with the changes is to actually use the browser on a daily basis (if you miss some features that are present in other browsers, nothing is really stopping you from using two browsers simultaneously - I know what I'm saying, I'm using 3 or sometimes even 4 browsers at once).
- To help the developers decide on which features they should focus more, you can cast votes for your favorite requests (or post your own ideas) in the Feature Request thread - here's the latest one.
- You can't change or remove anything from your list here anymore - the time limit for editing own's post is just one hour (that's a bummer, I know).
- You can support the project (so that the changes that you're looking forward to could be implemented sooner), by spreading the word about it.
-
Well, one can try
It's equally painful to go through a mile long feature request forum, and the fact that the bugtracker isn't public doesn't make things easier.
-
thanks for the info. since this has been implemented, i've removed it from my requests...

For the "smart text selection" setting, I can't find it and it is not on by default. Where is it?
For the "ALT+D focus address bar" setting, I have already discussed this with you on that thread. So please review our discussion there and reply there if needed.

For the "smart text selection" setting,
I thought that referred to selection of text in links. Drag sideways to select text; drag vertical to drag the link. I see that it's some other feature that you want.
All this goes to show that you should post your feature requests in the right place where the developers will see them. If I don't have time to read your threads to figure out what you mean, I am sure that they don't.
-
be sure to view my linked topics for details. and discuss there if needed.
-
@TsunamiZ Be sure to post your feature requests in the right place.
This is already in the Feature Requests thread.
-
i also post links to my requests in the official request threads. this way, my requests can stay alive and active whenever they release new versions.
-
@TsunamiZ I doubt very much if the developers will take note of your requests. Most are already known, but if they're not in the right place they won't get upvoted by other users. Popular requests might get implemented earlier.
Bumping your old threads to get attention is just annoying. If they were in the right place, instead of being a source of irritation to others, they might get some support.
-
i wasn't simply bumping my requests. i was actually updating a few of them. also, this master list serves as a way for me to keep track of my various feedback. otherwise, they would be scattered everywhere in those topics--which also gets trashed every version. the current way vivaldi collects feedback is not good for users to view or keep track of. vivaldi should really have a dedicated feedback forum, like most other programs.
here is an example of how maxthon browser collects feedback with a dedicated feedback forum with voting. it is a good example for vivaldi to follow...

@tsunamiz Your links are now all broken.
Please follow the official procedure for Feature Requests.
- Search the Feature Requests thread to find your desired feature: e.g. Sort Search Engines
- Vote for it.
- If it is not found add a new post in the Feature Requests thread
- Repeat for each feature request
