Option in the web panel, show the number of unread messages as shown in the tab, it would be great to have this also in the web panel. Image
-
A more practical way of fixing stacked tabs.
I use ctrl + shift + F to do this.
First I make the stack of tabs and then I go in each tab that is inside the stack and I make the combination ctrl + shift + F.
That was the only way I found to stack fixed tabs. -
An option to show the number of open tabs, for example how this extension does. Chrome Tab Counter <---> Tab Counter - Firefox
-
An option in the tab menu to lock the Vivaldi window. It has an option like the Tab Mix Plus extension for Firefox. It does not allow to move the window by clicking twice above the address bar the window does not move, a good option.
-
Increase subjective UserInterface speed by pre-rendering / caching a new tab with speed dial.
Opening a new tab (with speed dial) is not as fast as in other browsers. I think making a new tab appear quicker would increase the UI responsiveness in an important scenario.
Could a new tab (including speeddial and the images) be created invisible in the background (prerendered and cached) and instantaneously be shown ("un-hidded") when the the user requests to open a new tab?
I think, making the vivaldi react quicker should have top priority in general.
In tests its also mentioned as the only bigger disadvantage to other browsers. Further it cannot be improved by third party software /extensions and it is like a "feature" used all the time by every user. -
Add the option to hibernate tabs to the right or left.
-
Option to reload all tabs inside a stack.
-
Option to move option the save session / Open saved session for web panel.
-
Export Notes to either of Keep, OneNote, Evernote, PDF, LibreOffice, etc. Also, printing using system dialog without manual Copy/Paste.
-
I do not know if it is possible, but it would be very nice to have this native function in Vivaldi, I installed this extension that is for Opera in Vivaldi (it had a similar one for Firefox), it can make you view a page of the link. iFrame - Link Viewer
-
Add checkbox in installer that can disable Vivaldi autostart after completed installation
-
Add option to enable toggling panels with mouse wheel
-
Add option to lock notes
-
Add option to close tab by middle click on thumbnail popup
-
@pafflick said in Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10:
Lazy load tabs opened in the background (as an option)
Sometimes it would be handy to be able to open multiple tabs in the background without loading their contents right away and thus slowing down your network and computer. This should also apply (optionally) to opening multiple links at once from the bookmarks menu.
Something like that would be good. Open Link in Silent Tab
-
Include option for easy generation of QR codes from selected text

@Boombastic They've already been working on it for a long time and it is coming to Vivaldi for sure - that's why I didn't even mention it. Same for the Mail Client - we know it's being developed so there's no need to ask for that either. We only ask for features that haven't yet been confirmed to come to Vivaldi.

Add an option to always open links in a new tab/window
