Vivaldi 1.8RC 2 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.8.770.46

@jacekn said in Vivaldi 1.8RC 2 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.8.770.46:
@juniorsilva30: i reported it long weeks ago but its cool you were able to convince them to fix it finally
now if i only could map backtick ` key to anything... (already reported too)
I went to see yesterday that Ruari saw a post on this, I think he thought that function was working. Important that it has been fixed and that the reported problem has been resolved!
Note: It was not me that reported and commented on the function is not working, but that is what matters least! Now she's working perfectly!
I'll use a lot! -
@nsane: Oh really? RC2, Vivaldi is almost finished

I think it's a race against a competitor (which start with an O) to know which one will ship a final containing the latest stable Chromium the fastest...

Switch Tabs by Scrolling setting/scrolling tab list when it doesn't fit the window/Switching tabs by RMB+scroll issue still not fixed.
-
Maybe the text in Settings, Keyboard, Tabs now needs to be changed from "Pin Tab" to "Pin/Unpin Tab" ?
-
IMO this picture is more related than the one on the previous post. Audi R18 is probably the only Audi that I actually like & admire, btw...

Switch Tabs by Scrolling setting/scrolling tab list when it doesn't fit the window/Switching tabs by RMB+scroll issue still not fixed.
Hi, what isn't working for you? Scrolling should switch tabs placed on side even in overflow now, while keeping the active tab always visible.
-
@miky: I guess the main problem is that "Switch Tabs by Scrolling" enables/disables both switching tabs while scrolling hovering over tabs list AND switching tabs by RMB+scroll.
Before some update of 1.8 I could scroll overflow tab list without tab switching while still having RMB+scroll switching working. Now, however, it freaks me out, so I had to disable the feature altogether.
There's some discussion here suggesting that this ideally should be two different features, not one (because it annoys both the people who want it to work one way, but not the other, and those who want it the other way around): https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/history-improvements-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1-8-770-32/#post-123963 -
@XtremAlRaven interesting, noted. Thanks for taking the time.

I have to admit that until recently I was reluctant to completely get rid of Opera! I was following both browsers (with Vivaldi as my default) - after all you cannot completely forget your first love! Fortunately it became obvious, after Opera's latest 'improvements', that the relation with my once loved browser is more a 'one night stand' affair, all eye-lashes and fingernails, while Vivaldi is here for a long-term relationship! That's not to say that cosmetic improvements must not be implemented - they always keep things hot!

Where can I report a translation error?
-
@helderjfl: feel free to post language and issue here. Someone will address the issue and fix it afterwards.
Or you can fill a bug report (a bit more complicated but works, too):

Thank you!

Unable to unpin tabs by keyboard shortcut (VB-24177)
Thank you so much! That's the fix I had been waiting for.

Still not able to close Vivaldi via ALT+F4, very annoying...
-
@Irontiger just did it… so… it's possible. Maybe something is steeling focus?
W10x64 with this x32 buildPS: On top of that you can bind your own shortcut to end Vivaldi (or just Vivaldi's current window)

Can you guys fix drawing HTML5 on fullscreen, please? 90% of the time Taskbar is over the video
-
Found a bug. Do not know how related it is to what Vivaldi can fix but when watching a YouTube video, and you double click a full screen video to exit full screen, the browser crashes.

Strange. Am I the only one having the problem with scrolling randomly not working on random pages. Reloading the page doesn't help a bit. You have to close and re-open the tab again. Extremely annoying. Everything started with 1.8 versions. I know for sure it is not a mouse driver problem..Absolutely the same bug on two independent machines one with win 7x64 and second win 10 x64. &thx for any help.
