@toxpal That's what my screen shot shows, suggestions of previously typed searches. Enable it in Settings, Address Bar, Show address popup menu when typing."
-
@Pesala I believe we talk about different things. I mean not previously typed searches, but suggestions.
-
@toxpal I'm not sure why is it not working for you, but for me it works quite well. Whenever I need to search for a new phrase, I focus the search bar by clicking anywhere on it and the previous search string is always selected by default, so I don't really need to do anything else to remove it - I can just start typing right away.
And it's much better than removing the previous string on focusing the search bar, as sometimes I need to correct a typo or add something to the previously entered phrase and having to type the whole thing again would be very inconvenient.
-
@toxpal They work in the address field as well - all you need to do is to check "Allow Search Suggestions in Address Field" in Search Settings: vivaldi://settings/search/ (and the one mentioned by @Pesala as well, if it's turned off).

Disable / enable right click
… with option for withlist
example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01COJUGQ2/ click on look inside the right click on the cover.
-
@toxpal Those are also available in the Address Bar if you enable that option in Settings, Search, "Allow search suggestions in Address field."
-
@pafflick
this should include (at least optionally) auto-load/preload of those audio & video files to keep pages from eating up bandwidth/download volume -
@ghpy Yeah, if Vivaldi provides a placeholder for such page elements, it should prevent them from loading as well (since there would be no video/audio tag to load the stream to), so that should do it.

Thanks for the "workaround", it seems to work. However, after using Opera for almost 15 years, it's hard for me to start using URL bar instead of search bar. Oh well, maybe it's time to start learning new tricks...
-
And here is my "five cents":
- Ability to select entries in the URL bar dropdown list by pressing a number;
- Ability to go back from the folder, created in Speed Dial, by clicking on the empty space/ESC button;
- Drag selected text to search it in the predefined sites/drag image to save it/drag link to open;
- Ability to disable tab preview (thumbnail) when tabs displayed in vertical position. Because when tab bar is displayed vertically, sometimes it is hard to identify separate tabs of different pages of the same site (until you've open enough of them, so thumbnail disappears by itself);
- Add Xiaomi Yeelight RGB lamps support (like already done with Phillips);
- Allow to change colors of the menus and scrollbars, because now, if you are using dark site themes with Stylish, menus of the browser are still white.

Only one request per post please so that others can vote for each one separately.

Idea for selection popup menu:
Why? Because sometimes I need to quick copy text to my phone...

Yeah, this is a must.

Tab suspending option(s) by domain
An option to choose to suspend all tabs of a given domain via the tab bar and settings after "x" time, reloading only the active one or three tabs at once (upper, active, below). This, could save a lot of ram/cpu when handling a lot of tabs without "break" the navigation flows. (Expecially for the three tabs option, which tab extensions suspenders can't do)
