Vivaldi 1.7RC 1 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.7.735.36

@ian-coog: The history panel and the downloads panel do not pull from those areas.
-
Yes, these are evident, I'm just stating that there's a strange delay in this build that wasn't in previous builds and I haven't changed anything much. Opening a new window takes about the same time as before, UI appears, it's just that it's unresponsive for a second or two - I can click something, but the UI only responds a little later.
-
I have this snapshot (V 32 bit) on two machines (W10 64 bit). In both the history no longer updates. I.e., if I have the history panel open, and set to Today, the list doesn't update to show the new URL's I visit. Switching the time-frame away from, and back to, today doesn't help. Also, if I collapse the date for Today, two line items display: https://screenpresso.com/=Nsrie
-
@g_bartsch - Sounds like time for a profile cleanup. On both of them.
-
@ayespy: OK, thanks. shall I save and restore the history, or not and start fresh?
-
@g_bartsch: First - have you looked to see if all of your history is shown at the Speed Dial History page?
-
@g_bartsch: Cuz it's broken here, too, but only in the panel - not in the history page. However, my internal build, which has the whole "history in the making" activated and exposed, does NOT have a broken panel.
-
@ayespy: It is the Speed Dial History page.
-
@ayespy: I reset the profile on one machine. No change/not fixed. I restored the profile because this must be a bug. I'll just wait till it's fixed.
-
@g_bartsch -- Hi Garry, just lazily piggybacking on Ayepsy here, but fyi it is still updating in real-time in my Linux Deb V History Web Panel, so it's not a generic bug [unless it's Win x86 specific]. Doesn't prove, but is consistent with, a sad profile. Lucky you!

Tower & Lappy = Maui 2.1 "Blue Tang" x64 Plasma 5.8.4.EDIT - Seems your update did not become visible to me til after i'd posted. Obviously now ignore my irrelevant thoughts.
-
@Steffie: No, he's right about the History panel. Looks like it's too broken, with too little time to fix, to make it into the stable. (I suspect, however, it will not be removed from future snapshots, but rather worked on instead.) HOWEVER, History PAGE is working fine. So if history PAGE is broke for you @g_bartsch, a profile re-set is in order.
But yeah, I checked backstage and probs with the new History Panel are known.
-
@Ayespy -- yeah, we're all posting at same time, making the sequencing tricky. It IS working fine for me though - am i just lucky this time?
-
@Steffie: Most likely.
-
@Ayespy -- in that case, woohoo.
Alternatively, it might be coz Linux Rulz [again] ... teehee.
-
@Ayespy The history page works fine. But a profile restore would be fine just for fun. P.S. I'm pretty sure one snapshot back the history panel was fine. I remember watching the URL's update as I clicked links. Maybe it was the snapshot before - I'm not sure.
-
@g_bartsch: It probably looked fine. But there were some problems. I think it was partially disabled in the Release Candidate, and will be out of the Stable - then back in for subsequent snapshots (as part of History in the Making?) for further refinement in anticipation of a full release in Stable 1.8

It is 'fine' on the speed dial history page. My bad in the post above.
