Map your keyboard shortcut for screenshots… Only in Vivaldi Browser? :) - Snapshot 1.7.725.3
-
Hmmmmm… I got it! That's nice! Thanks, g_bartsch.
Viv always paying attention to the minimum details...
-
Not only bookmarks, but notes as well! Awesome that these 2 features are getting more functionality.
-
I realize that the "Reuse current tab" option doesn't exist yet and that it defaults off, but is there a way to countermand it on demand? For example, for searches or "go to url" via the context menu.
-
Thanks very much for the opportunity to choose keeps a history of typing, but also please, add the option to delete typed history in Clear Private Data.
Thanks

If I drag a tab out of a window, I still get random crashes. Vivaldi will crash approx. one out of five times when I try this operation.
I have experienced random crashes on all snapshots using this functionality.Win7x64 Vx32

I found a Screenshots quirk - an undocumented feature: 'capture visible area'.
I was trying the Screenshots feature out to see if the 'capture selection' option would trigger scrolling (it doesn't). In attempting to do this I noted that the highlighted selection area extends to the bottom of the status bar (or a few pixels short of the bottom of the visible area, if the status bar is not in use). Releasing the left mouse button leaves the area selected but nothing happens. If you move the cursor back onto the selected area and move the selection just back into the visible area and release the left mouse button then the captured selection is the entire visible area, rather than your selection and NOT the entire page.
As far as I can tell, the criteria for capturing the 'visible area' are
- selecting an area extending beyond the visible area and releasing the left mouse button
- moving the selection back inside the visible area by just a few pixels
Sometimes the first criterion alone seems enough - my test results were inconsistent.
So - a quirk rather than a bug. However I see that HalleAndert asked for a 'capture visible area' option. It looks as if the coding is already done, it just needs a consistent user interface. Thank you for the flow of new features.
My environment: Windows 8.1, Vivaldi 1.7.725.3, Screen resolution 2560 x 1440

Today after this update I got the message "Your connection is not private" when visiting www.google.com, www.youtube.com and gmail. I can visit all other webpages without a problem
I'm on Linux Mint. Any ideas? -
BUG:
When you enter normal words followed by a valid url in the urlbar it throws up an "This site can’t be reached" Dns error.
I typed the following in the urlbar: search suggestions leo.org
and got the error with: search%20suggestions%20for%20%22leo.org%22’s server DNS address could not be found.I am not sure but I think at some point there already existed a bug like this but it got fixed and now it's back.
Or did I just mixed something up?
Can somebody confirm this bug? -
try https instead of http
-
Seems a regression and was already reported by Gigzama few posts above, with the workaround to use the search field for now.
-
Still same problem..
-
Yes! If you add the option "Only selected tabs" then I am in heaven
-
Oh okay, seems like I didn't paid enough attention. Thanks for the hint
-
which exactly is your error? is your clock set correctly? sounds strange that the 2 major google sites give SSL errors.
-
This update and the last one put the focus on the update window again, minimazing my game… Wasn't this supposed to be fixed ? I have to close Vivaldi each time I play now to avoid this...
-
Hmm, this site crashes every time (dead bird):

EDIT:
If you load other pages in the same tab after the crash, no thumb will be generated (but the pages load fine). -
Yes, I can also confirm this issue with the Windows version of 32-bit Vivaldi running on Windows 10 (64-bit).
However, I notice that if you use "site:" argument in the search term for Google and Bing in the address bar (blah burp site:bbc.co.uk), that works fine.
Trying again to post this as my other posts seemed, at the time, to not go with the poster I was replying to, which might confuse things.

Yes the clock is set correctly. I've checked all suggestions regarding the clock, or deleting cookies, history, etc. The message I get is the following:
"Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.google.com (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_WEAK_SIGNATURE_ALGORITHMwww.google.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Vivaldi tried to connect to www.google.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be www.google.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Vivaldi stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You cannot visit www.google.com at the moment because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later. "

Anyone else getting Ctrl + Enter in the address bar to stop working occasionally? Need to investigate further what causes it but it's really annoying
Win 10/ Vivaldi 64bit

Just use "Capture Selection" and click without dragging.
