Snapshot 1.2.485.14 - Bugfixes following a short week
-
The flickering thing confirmed. I noticed now it is much much worse… Damn.
Win10 x64, Viv x64.
-
Yeah, both the flickering of opening a new tab when it's set to open next to current, AND the flickering of toggling the panel. Both are pretty bad.
-
I'm inclined to agree with your analysis Ayespy. I think I'll be patient and wait.

The amd64.deb package is not recognised on my system:
$ ar p vivaldi-snapshot_1.2.485.14-1_amd64.deb data.tar.xz | tar -xJf- –strip 2 ./opt
ar: vivaldi-snapshot_1.2.485.14-1_amd64.deb: No such file or directory
xz: (stdin): File format not recognized
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting nowThe previous package vivaldi-snapshot_1.2.479.8-1_amd64.deb worked fine.

Problem confirmed here, Win 7 x64.
-
Confirmed here.
-
Confirmed. But that looks like a cool map website.
-
64bit doing good so far on ChaletOS.
Now if i could only figure out how to install Flash Player… guess i'll have to search Vivaldi forums hé!
-
Still doesn't work well with the touchscreen. Now I have to click several times to get the back button working. Same as other buttons and tabs. And I still have to grab and move the tab a bit to make the page content clickable and scrollable. Really hope these can be fixed. Thanks!
-
I'm unable to do either.
-
Ditto keep loading indefinitely, VERY detailed map.

There are MANY questionable AV's that give false Positives…Check if it is VB100 or AV rated try using at least one of them. Kaspersky has no problems always TOP rated. I used to try other rated ones but finally just settled on KAS cause over the years ALWAYS in top three.
Addendum:
FYI: I have NO axe to grind but I hadn't checked in a couple of years so I went to AV and KAS was STILL the ONLY one that had 100% protection AND 0 False positives on BOTH Android AND PC.
There are others but just saying I don't think there are ANY viruses in Viv just false positives in your virus scanner. I'm sorry never heard of it or seen yours. I would have gotten a warning if it had. -
I backed to 1.2.470.11, the current one was lagging a lot and I could add any bookmark, I reported the last one as bug.
-
delete vivaldi (dont mark to delete the profile too) and install an old build where this was working.
-
A while ago I reported the bug (VB-14783) with closing tabs - when closing the last two tabs with middle click you end up with two speed dials tabs.
http://i.imgur.com/QS3ejI6.gifvNow I noticed that this happens only when Close Tab on Double Click is enabled.
-
Interestingly I can delete folders and bookmarks from either bookmarks bar and panel and manager in this snapshot.
Stand-alone 32bit build on w7x64, Which do you use? -
Hi!
The "New Tab" mouse gesture still gets confused: It opens links that were in tabs that are already closed. See this gif: http://imgur.com/77es9ny
It's can be annoying not to be able to get a new tab with the mouse. Sometimes I have to try multiple times, or until I decide to use Ctrl-T instead.
I have (re-?)reported that to the bug tracker, VB-17832.
-
I've still the problem (since last snapshot), that new tabs from bookmarks use current tab and not new tab (which is the behaviour, that I activated)
I have this problem with 2 installations (standalone and multi-user) at 2 different computer, so I don't think, that's a profile problem.

I reported this bug yesterday few hours before you post this new snapshot.
It's related to NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID warning.
When you try to access from the start page to a site that has a self-signed certifcate, Vivaldi does nothing!
The only way to get warned about the certificate is accessing from another tab that has any website opened already! -
No it doesn't help actually. Still sometimes no response at all…..but other programs work well
