Snapshot 1.2.470.11 - Editable Gestures
-
Thanks for what I consider a real milestone on Vivaldi release history.
So much useful and frequently asked features that is hard to remember all of them
So nice to see fixed the long standing VB-9683 witch is sort of my first bug kill (I discovered it and I had the idea about how to fix it.
Not to mention the customizable new tab, which open the doors to custom personal home pages and custom speed dials and start pages.
And another endless list of not minor improvements
And so on, thanks to the team for that
-
Because 1.1 is the stable version, and 1.2 will be the next stable version. This is the first snapshot for the next stable version.
-
Holymotherofgod what an update! So MANY features and options that random users have been agitating for have been added, and so MANY bugs addressed. If you keep this up, no one will have anything to talk about in the forums!
-
But the version 1.1.453.52 belonged to the blog-post "Minor update to Vivaldi 1.1" which was released AFTER 1.1. Or am I wrong?
-
exactly thanks for clarifying it to him
-
Thank you so much for bringing this behavior back! VB-11667
But is it just me or there is no option yet to turn this off (I can't find it in settings)? Since I think some people prefer to have the browser close when closing the last tab on Mac.

Really?
Still here…Win7x64 Vx32
-
I agree! I'll look into this. Thanks for pointing it out. We've taken this into consideration other places, and we should here as well.
-
Ahh, yepp… confirmed.
-
Just un-check "always keep last tab" under "Tabs" in settings.
-
That's correct. It was an update to the stable channel. These will be rare. Once a version reaches "stable," it will be the one offered on the Vivaldi homepage download button, and it will not update until the next stable comes out. In between stable versions, there will be numerous snapshot updates until one reaches Stable status, and than that one will become the new Stable.

+1 :!: :!: :!:
-
… I never close Vivaldi
-
thank you for editable mouse gesture, so many users don't "spam" any longer the comments with this feature request
big oh ohh: I can't delete any bookmark  wether in the bookmark panel nor in bookmark bar nor if it's a new bookmark or an old one. Mouseclick/Del closes immediately whole vivaldi:!:
can anyone confirm? Vx64 Win7x64 -
Yeah, and also add the possibility to replace the conflicting gesture.
Still, this is a great addition to Vivaldi and I'm sure it'll be enhanced. Cheers.

Hmm, works here …

Hum, if they are already hibernating, isn't that the normal behaviour to not be able to "double" hibernate them ?
I'm just guessing, I've not tested what you are describing, but seems straightforward from my point of view. -
The hibernate context meny item is only available if a tab is in the background, and not already hibernated, so if you have already hibernated it once, the option will be gone.
There is though a bug in the hibernate tab stack action, where it will not always show if one of the tab stack tabs are hibernatable. We're dealing with this now.
-
So far all I can say is WOW! A lot of work done, thanks. This OUGHT to calm the savage beasts, except the mail guys,…. Later.
-
@sverrejoh: So you are saying that if I hibernate a background tab, then bring it to the foreground, and then bring it to the background - it will automatically hibernate again (as no context menu item will be available) ?
