Snapshot 1.1.443.3 - New tab options
-
Options to do for all links, please. It's on Opera 12, New Opera, Firefox, even IE. This can be done via extensions, but they add delay and some undesired quirks
-
Yes, I see that. Unfortunately, it makes no difference. Curiously, it won't search unless the given search alias is used (g for google, b for bing, etc.) The expected behavior would be to enter a search phrase and the browser should automatically search using the default search engine, as in prior builds. I noticed this behavior in the prior build as well.

I really believe the bookmark part is one of the weakest points in Vivaldi. Especially when adding them via the little "flag icon" and you just get a drop down list without the folders marked. I find it a bit messy.
Also, not able to edit the bookmarks at all.
Otherwise, really happy with Vivaldi for quite a while now. Keep it up
-
Personally I love downloads in the panel and do believe it's the logical place for them. I wonder how many people have feelings on this? I have been hoping for history in the panel for a long time so can give this post a thumbs up for that.
-
The option may come, but since there are so very many ways to do it (the extremely simple middle-click for instance), I don't see them making it a high priority while so many basic things (like drag tab to new window) are still outstanding. It's not that the Vivaldi team doesn't want to make you happy - it's just that they are a small team with a huge job and, at the moment, bigger fish to fry.
-
Weird. Sounds as though something has gotten corrupt in your profile. The function works perfectly for everyone else, so it's you.
-
Just be able to disable Javascript!
-
I just deleted my user data folder, and it works as expected now. I've done three separate clean installs, so it must be some combination of options that I'm ticking. I thought maybe it was a flag that I was ticking, but the last profile I set up, I didn't even enter the flags section.

Yea that improved the responsiveness a little but still vivaldis ui feels the slowest off all the browsers i'm currently testing
-
Window size is not remembered on Gnome 3.20 running under Wayland display server. I use Arch linux.

"Check for Updates" stays unreliable! What's the official answer?
I'm not complaining; I'm not demanding a fix; it's just a minor problem. But, I'd just like to know!
When I select the item "Check for Updates" in the Vivaldi main menu, sometimes I get a popup that indicates whether there is a newer version available or not. But, sometimes, I get no popup. Is this a known bug? Or does it happen only to me?
-
I know there used to be a bug on the Mac that the popup hides behind the Vivaldi main window. But, that bug has been fixed for a long time. I'm not talking about it now. When I say there is no popup, I check if it is hiding somewhere. It's not.
-
No, I don't install any official beta version or final release of Vivaldi. I just want to stay in the snapshot stream. I only install Vivaldi either from this blog or from the "Check for Updates" popup.
Finally, I searched the forum but didn't find any discussion about this issue. (It may well be that I didn't use good key words for the search . . . )
Mac OS 10.11.4 .

Open Links in Current Tab Stack–-Nice! Thank you!
But, I want it to go further. If the current tab doesn't belong to a stack, this new feature should create a stack out of the current tab and the one which is being opened.
Probably this feature shouldn't be the default but will be a useful option to some users. I asked it some time ago here and I saw at least one other user did the same, too.
-
I've not seen this complained of before.
-
+1 for RSS reader too !
-
It's just a quality of life improvement, but yeah, I'd like this feature too (not quite the most urgent thing in the todo though).
