Minor update to Vivaldi 1.0
-
Thank you for letting know. It is known and worked on.
However there is a temporary workaround available in 1.0 Final and you will get it in the next snapshot too. An option has been added to switch off all shortcuts - so they do not get in your way when you edit a formatted message. And you can even set a shortcut to to switch off shortcuts.
Once you are done with editing the message, you can switch shortcuts back on in Settings -> Keyboard section. -
Speed Dial will continue to be improved. This is just a start.

Final version is even more bugged for me. Every time I change the tab others are going blank and then refresh automatically. It's annoying. It happened in beta but not every single time. (win732bit;2x2,33ghz;2gbram)

Happy Birthday Vivaldi 1.0!:D
Finally you are here.
Please add the "drag an drop any text next to an open tab opens new tab" function one day.
But that is no thing that would make me not use you as my main browser.
I love you Vivaldi!

Happy Birthday! It's been some time(some builds) I'm not able to autoupdate. Usually I get a network error, but today I've got 'Appcast XML data incomplete'

I like these answers! "Just a start," means much more coming. Yay!

@Sajadi:
High priority should also be put into UI performance now, especially where you are now have hit the first stable release. As Vivaldi has successfully releases it's first stable now not only ex-Opera users are coming, also many simple users or users with a less big patience are coming now towards Vivaldi which will try out and drop the browser if such an issue exists over a loner time period.
I cannot agree more. New users will be different than us and the patience issue will be pronounced. Once less tenacious users drop something because it disappoints them they won't likely return.

A good Browser and fast - but he didn't play html 5 video tags… that is a no go for a browser...
-
Well, that's dishonest. The main page still shows mail and contacts available in the sidebar, but these features are still not yet available.
-
at least the setup for updating is automatic . However, i can not update without admin role , can you tell me where the download file is located for updating
-
Of course. https://vivaldi.com/download/
-
To be fair, when Vivaldi first came out, mail and contacts were in the sidebar for six months before they were removed. With V2, they will actually be in the browser, we are told.
-
Was there ever any doubt? This is obviously the germinal stage of Vivaldi.
-
thanks for support me
-
No doubt, but being reminded once in a while is very nice

Lets hope one part of the Vivaldi team can slowly start to work internally on Vivaldi Android, that would be awesome. I see no real sync use without a mobile browser.
If you need sync between different computers, including Windows to Linux, etc, this is very easy to do today. All you need to do is to sync the files in the data folder like Notes, or Bookmarks, etc.
The real sync advantage and where most users want or need them is in mobile browsers. I guess that can't be done until we actually have a mobile Vivaldi edition.
You can of course use today Dolphin on Android and install the plugin in Vivaldi, it works, and will sync your data nicely. I tested it. But sadly Dolphin seems to work less than stellar lately.

I loved Vivaldi. I really did. Keep up doing well guys.
A quick question; is there a shortcut to add ".com" to the pages we type in address bar? (Like Ctrl+Enter etc.)

Please make it so those of us on snapshots will receive the auto-updates when the release version is newer. A good way to do this would be to add an option in the settings or in the updater to update to snapshot versions or only stable releases.
I was languishing on .29, and updating to .42 made the browser soooo much faster.
