Snapshot 1.0.385.5 - Changes to tab opening and closing behaviour
-
Also, please add the possibility to set different default search engines for the address bar and the search bar. Otherwise the search bar is next to useless.
-
Just reported a bug and I need to add some important info… any ideas how? (beside writing it here).
(VB-12688)
- you have to have opened the horizontal Vivaldi menu (since it works with a classic Vivaldi menu…)
- after you get into the main menu (file, edit... help) you can use almost all special characters again. (except the one which needs 2 keys pressed to write)
-
Ok, one of the guys here has reproduced we will look into this right away.
-
are you also running the "experimental" 64bit version or 32bit vivaldi?
-
I have passed this onto one of our sysadmins to look at. What country are you in by the way?
-
Yep, we had always planned to support tab opening and closing options like this. Thank you for being patient.
-
Yeah, I do understand the issue, which is why we also changed the default open behavior but perhaps we can find some way to better accommodate you in the future. Thanks for the feedback.
-
We already have quite a lot going on with colours and more planned so this has to be thought out carefully. We certainly want to help but it requires a little more thinking so you are unlikely to get resolution in the very short term.
-
tab stacking is one way but then you could not have the group spread out as they would be held within the stack.

Thanks for the report, we have this in our bug tracker as VB-12541 Focused tab is marked unseen after restart.
-
we are looking into this and hope to have it fixed soon. Out of interest, what country are you downloading from?

How many tabs do you have open? If the tabs are very small then the button is not shown until a tab is focussed and hovered to avoid misclicks when trying to switch to a tab
-
Thanks for the report. I have logged this for you as VB-12693
-
Really please that we have made it possible for you
-
Of course, that is what we are all about!
-
Thanks for the update and letting us know it was related to an extension.
-
Yep, I suspected this was what you actually wanted. Your bug is indeed closed.
-
Can you confirm that you have "focus follows mouse" set in your window manager?
