Snapshot 1.0.377.10 - Three days work and twenty two more fixes
-
It was work in progress. This is the collection we'll ship with Final, but like you mention; we will add the possibility to get all the old ones back, plus a whole bunch more – all in due time
-
Uhhhhmmmm, not on mine, but I'm using Classic Shell. Are you on an insider preview?
-
I'm on 11099 an the V icon is there.
Likely just unpin and repin vivaldi will fix the problem.
-
Can't reproduce here. (W10)

Still getting issues with disk thrashing. Some times I notice in task manager that vivaldi.exe is using 99% disk. When I close Vivaldi, one vivaldi.exe process remains in the task manager, but not showing in the task bar. It is causing the my hard drive to thrash reading and writing to the file "%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Top Sites". I tried to do a fresh install and this still happens.
Windows 10 Pro x64, Vivaldi is 32-bit
Reported as VB-11789
-
Nice! And a light, thinner panel too?
-
I dunno, the ones I use are g google, d wiktionary, w wikipedia, z amazon, e ebay, x for my own website's search. That's 6 right there and I remember all of em. Also, you can set the keywords to be longer, like the whole name of the search type.
-
The Top Sites problem is known (I think I first reported it). Delete the file, it will be rebuilt on your next start and the thrashing should stop.
It seems the Viv team need to look at this again.
-
I'm still having a problem with logging into sites such as Pocket, Viki, and Dramafever. That's the only thing that's stopping me from making it my default browser…
Mac OSX El Capitan

Thank you for your work. I would like that tooltips to show more information like in old opera. Something like:
- On urls: - title attribute and href attribute
- On bookmarks: - name, url, nickname, creation date
- On notes: - note, creation date
-
Thanks for confirming, I was hoping it wasn't just me. I deleted the file, replaced it with a blank file, and then set deny permissions on it. I did that because it seems to come back every once in a while. Can't hear it or notice on an SSD without looking at the task manager. Deny access to the file doesn't seem to affect Vivaldi in any noticeable way.

I got the black tab bug again. Was supposed to be fixed in build 1.0.344.24:
VB-11006 Tabs break when "discarded" (black tabs, tabs not updated).Win7 x64 Vx32 (build 1.0.365.3)

Great browser!
I'd like to have also:- "Paste and go in the new tab" function in url address menu
- "Clone tab in background"
- option to clone tab in the background after double clicking on it
- opening a new tab from typing in search bar if current tab is other than speed dial
- "Move to the new window in background" option in tab menu
- dialog box confirming closure of the browser
- adjustable hiding scroll-bars (like in Minimal Scrollbar extension)
- dark theme for all the menus, dialog boxes, history, extensions, etc
- session manager (like in Opera 12.x) and automatic saving of last tabs/windows and their history as session
- history panel
- links panel
- option to automatically clean the cache from the disk after certain time
- ability to change order of the search engines
- already focused search box after opening History window + dynamic searching
- bubble with tab titles when cursor above tabs
- notification of downloaded files
- double click on free space on the tab bar opens new tab

There appears to be a bug when using my Foscam security camera. I log into the camera and the interface opens and all settings are available as is normal. The issue is that the video stream is not overlaid. If I click the fullscreen button, the video stream appears, then disappears when I disable fullscreen. The interface with video stream work correctly on IE, Chrome, Firefox and Opera 34.
Thank you -
Ups, wrong build number. Sorry.
I first noticed it on 1.0.365.3. But I also got it on the current build - 1.0.377.10 -
"'Default Red Color' now ~20% darker". Can this be reverted or made optional? I liked the lighter red more.
-
Can you edit passwords/entries (but not from within the vault)?
-
Presumably "VB-12125 javascript urls should work in addressfield" helped solve the problem of the work of service Wunderlist.com. Number bug report was VB-7455. Now everything works fine!
-
It used to be possible in settings. You could select "Panel Position - Off," rather than just left or right. That should be brought back. HOWEVER, in the "View" menu, you can still un-check "Panel" and the bar will disappear. That should suffice for now.

It would be nice if we got email notifications of work done on bugs we submit. At the very least, what priority they're tagged at or if they get merged with another ticket. I know bookmarking especially has a ways to go before it's fully functional, but it is nice to see a bookmark panel again.
