Snapshot 1.0.375.3 - Over fifty further fixes and improvements

Glad to see all the work, thanks. Look forward to making the Speed Dial page and Print Preview/Print more functional (raised previously). Also, "Simplify Page" under Print doesn't load.

Yes. I have the same problem. I an not working on this issue myself, but I know it is invesitigated. Seems like once the window has been in fullscreen once. It will always start in fullscreen. I am pretty sure you will not see it with a clean profile where the window has never been in fullscreen.

A few bugs (minor annoyances) that I've noticed:
1. When you type in an address that Vivaldi tries to autocomplete, we'll way "google" for instance, and you try to press Ctrl+Enter to go to the homepage rather than whatever Vivaldi is autocompleting, Vivaldi will act like you pressed 'Enter' and go to the whatever was suggested in the autocomplete rather than respecting the Ctrl+Enter shortcut and going to just www.google.com (I just ended up at the Google account login page when doing this).
2. When you're in a Private tab/window, and you want to open a link in another Private window, you have to open a new Private window and copy and paste the URL into the address bar. Vivaldi doesn't have an option in the context menu to open a link in a new Private window, and of course the existing option in the context menu to open a link in a new window just opens it in a regular window (aka. I'm spoiled with Opera 12).
3. When you try to download something from Mega (I guess it's "mega.nz" now) while in a Private window, and you click "Save as", the file is automatically saved to your Downloads folder rather than where you choose to save it. You can use anything at the following URL to test, since it all appears to still be online:
https:_//_mega.nz/#F!cocyRa5T!B0ayZcMxPeCN_EjRGVFLZwAll of the above was verified with today's build before posting.

Seems you have single key shortcuts activated. 1,2 4 and 5 will switch tabs by design. By default these shortcuts are off in Settings. Is that the reason or is it something else?
-
Totally support this proposal - I would love to have it in the browser as well.
-
Which OS are you using? I use LastPass in Windows Vista, 8.1 and formerly 10 and I have never had a problem.
-
Good point. Should be easy to fix. Will look into that.

I am using the 1.0.352.3 (Beta) (32-Bit), because all newer versions crash after installation and first startup, which ends in a crash loop. This happened on two different computers with different sessions (4 Windows with around 15 open tabs and 3 Windows with around 10 open tabs. How can I solve this without losing the web sites?
Is there any possibility to modify the last session file? -
I'm gonna bet that the website that is crashing the newer versions is in both sessions that you are having trouble with.

I'm still waiting on the issue with extensions windows to be fixed (VB-11617), really puts a damper on my extension usage.
E.g., with uMatrix (or TooManyTabs), when I click on the extension's icon, half of the interface is cut-off. I can't be the only one seeing this, right?
Running on Arch Linux 64-bit.

Is there any way to auto hide bookmarks bar once I open it from speed dial. I like the auto hide the bookmarks bar in Chrome, without taking any screen space.
-
Thanks espen, disable single key shortcuts solved the problem with 1241. But the other one with the backspace still exist.

I got this problem during my 1st try with Vivaldi and found the problem with µtorrent GUI login. I solved this that I tried every side with a restart of Vivaldi. The bug is solved in the meantime, but every time before a new snapshot is installed I copy the whole Vivaldi folder for later switchback. Hope it helps and you can find out the problem.

good to know that the devs are aware of the issue

I've noticed that Vivaldi is actually faster in this build. Could it be because the file size in the update was 39.2MB instead of the usual 42-43MB?
-
Strangely, this is the changelog that was attached to the "phantom upgrade" I experienced two days ago…
-
Still has a minor bug where if you close all the tabs and end up with the speed dial and then attempt to type into the address bar it will not trigger the autocomplete/history.
-
I've been the 64-bit version as my default browser for a while now. It's been very stable for me. I haven't noticed any 'show-stopper' bugs. No crashes or anything like that. Probably the most obvious 'unpolished' aspect is that the Speed Dial icons still disappear.
There are a few usability issues.
1 - No close tab options. By far my biggest issue. Going to the last active tab after closing a tab is very annoying. Doesn't make the browser unusable, but I don't think it should be released as a 1.0 without tab closing options.2 - I find the URL autocomplete a bit off. I think in Opera 12 it would favour autocompleting to the parent URL. Usually, when I start typing, say, amazon.com, I want to go to the amazon home page. Vivaldi tends to pick up something from history or bookmarks and I would end up at a product. I think in Opera 12, if I start typing amazon.com it would autocomplete to amazon.com, and would not autocomplete to something deeper until I typed the /. To me, that seems more logical, but every user is different.
3 - This one is minor, but I'd love to have mouse flip forward (hold left-click then right-click) to have the Fast Forward function, like in Opera 12.
-
Thank you for reminding on that. I can confirm it has been noticed.
Please let know what else do you see especially disturbing that in your opinion needs to be fixed for Final. Thanks. -
Could you provide details what do you mean and what options would you need?
