Snapshot 1.0.375.3 - Over fifty further fixes and improvements
-
I hate to say this, but I'm still waiting on performance improvement for Vivaldi. It's just awful running Vivaldi at this moment specially on a high end Ultrabook.
I love Vivaldi, but for now I have no choice but to use Opera Dev, which seems to be buttery smooth and more intuitive compare to other alternatives (Chrome/FF) in the market. -
And again: GMX MailChecker still not working (VB-9592)
-
A great build! Thanks! Finally I can use global zoom (working on a laptop with a rather small display. But when connecting to a 4k-display it was really itchy to set a fitting zoom on every page (and back again, when disonnecting from that monitor))! And the option for disabling the 'x'-marks on tabs is also very apreciated!
Now, if only that "E-Mail-panel"-entry in the Vivaldi-menu would work…
Good work, Vivaldi-team! Keep on building! -
Regarding VB-11078 Add right click on navigation buttons I think you should make the context menu appear below the buttons like it does with the long click instead of right where the mouse cursor is. It blocks the button the way it is now and it's visually disjointed from the long click behavior.

Thank you for your great work. Please add and option for showing link urls and title as tooltip on hovering links, like old Opera. Right now if a link is on top of page and mouse is hovering it, the url is shown on status overlay all the way down the page.
-
…but why doesn't it zoom the page content just with Ctrl+ the wheel like Opera 12? Why have to press Shift too?
+1 Please only use Ctrl+MouseWheel to zoom (or even better: make it configurable via options)
Also: NumPad Plus/Minus should zoom the page without Ctrl per default.

Mega fixes. You have been busy. Thanks!

I have in the bookmark bar more folders, each with several bookmarks. These bookmarks can not be opened with a mouse middle click into a new tab. This hinders the work with the browser. For Google Chrome and Opera it is possible.
-
Yes, correct. Thats the Tab Stack function. Very good feature. You can disable it in Settings - Tabs - Enable Tab Stacking
-
1. Mouse gestures: don't work in speed dial page.
2. Dual monitor: Settings dialog opens in primary monitor when Vivaldi main window is in secondary monitor. -
Not seeing any fixes for the freezing issue with Vines…
-
Nice work guys :!: I was even able to import my opera 12 notes on linux! From default location at least ..
-
Bookmark Bar suggestion: An option for when the Bookmark Bar is enabled that it only appears when the mouse is hovered over that area (and disappears once something is clicked or you move the mouse away). This would save space and remove that clutter but also make it easily available.
-
Haven't had much time using it, but thanks for this huge update.

I'm absolut unhappy with this snapshot!!!
I try to answer an E-Mail (snafu.de) in Vivaldi Browser, then backspace goes back to the prior side, the complete E-Mail text is gone, and when write numerals like i.e. 1241, then I move between Vivaldi Browser Tabs. Please fix this as soon as possible!I should change the avatar to the red one…

Glad to see all the work, thanks. Look forward to making the Speed Dial page and Print Preview/Print more functional (raised previously). Also, "Simplify Page" under Print doesn't load.

Yes. I have the same problem. I an not working on this issue myself, but I know it is invesitigated. Seems like once the window has been in fullscreen once. It will always start in fullscreen. I am pretty sure you will not see it with a clean profile where the window has never been in fullscreen.

A few bugs (minor annoyances) that I've noticed:
1. When you type in an address that Vivaldi tries to autocomplete, we'll way "google" for instance, and you try to press Ctrl+Enter to go to the homepage rather than whatever Vivaldi is autocompleting, Vivaldi will act like you pressed 'Enter' and go to the whatever was suggested in the autocomplete rather than respecting the Ctrl+Enter shortcut and going to just www.google.com (I just ended up at the Google account login page when doing this).
2. When you're in a Private tab/window, and you want to open a link in another Private window, you have to open a new Private window and copy and paste the URL into the address bar. Vivaldi doesn't have an option in the context menu to open a link in a new Private window, and of course the existing option in the context menu to open a link in a new window just opens it in a regular window (aka. I'm spoiled with Opera 12).
3. When you try to download something from Mega (I guess it's "mega.nz" now) while in a Private window, and you click "Save as", the file is automatically saved to your Downloads folder rather than where you choose to save it. You can use anything at the following URL to test, since it all appears to still be online:
https:_//_mega.nz/#F!cocyRa5T!B0ayZcMxPeCN_EjRGVFLZwAll of the above was verified with today's build before posting.

Seems you have single key shortcuts activated. 1,2 4 and 5 will switch tabs by design. By default these shortcuts are off in Settings. Is that the reason or is it something else?
-
Totally support this proposal - I would love to have it in the browser as well.
