Snapshot 1.0.330.3 - Trash folder for bookmarks and notes, plus panel hiding
-
i'm waiting the fixes in latter in tonight in my time time zone…. i'm got the nasty bugs... the page not draw correctly ... firstly, when open fine but when i move to next tab and move back on that tab the crazy will begins. using windows 10.
but when you list this "VB-5590 When Native Window enabled, unnecessary blank space on tab bar in the corner near trash" i thought it is will be the same line or bar with the min, max and close button like others browser did such chrome or opera. you know what i means the small button beside that min, max and close like that chrome is option for a who user using that it, btw on opera is option for tab like history tab when you close it on another device will be show also here. like many other state here before, it is strange when you're not active native windows is seem fine, but when you enable that option it is just some separate things on different bar. it is just useless on my windows. i don't know what other OS lookalike okay.

BUG: (A pretty annoying one)
Web panels stick to their desktop user agents and won't switch to their mobile versions. Tested on a few sites (mostly social media like FB and Twitter) though some sites still work. VB-10972
-OSX 10.11.1
-Win10x64/Vivaldix64 -
- Activate next tab after closing current tab
I am not completly sure if we both mean the same, but I think you can change tab in "Settings" –> "Tabs" --> "Tab Cycling". It changes the way you can cycle through your tabs (obviously ^^) and closing a tab is more or less the same as cycling, so maybe you should try the other cycling order and see if this fits for you.
-
Not sure if this is a known bug, but here it is: when I load a website and I don't check it immediately but continue browsing on other tabs, the one that wasn't active ends up like this. Reloading doesn't help, I have to close the tab. It happens a LOT during browsing. W7 64bit if it matters.
-
No, it is not the same. It is something different.
I want to add option to change behavior of closing tab. Vivaldi now automatically activate last active tab, but I expect activate next tab like Chrome, Opera or Firefox.
If you have 4 tabs, click on first tab and after that close 3rd tab. Vivaldi activate first tab, but any other browser activate 4th tab.
It would be nice to have option change this behavior in Settings page.

Win 7 64, 8 Gig, 32 Viv
On a Tab with audio, hovering the mouse cursor over the Tab makes the little speaker icon dodge left and it's replaced by the X to close icon so you Mute the Tab by closing it.
I'm not having that problem here, but others

I can confirm that the speed dial thumbs are broken. Here they are lost after restart in most cases.

Win 7 64 Bit, 8 Gig, 32BitViv
So close, but so CRAZY must have ghost in machine or possessed…
ALMOST to where I can use it all the time but then eventually fails, not a crash just unusable. CPU goes from 2-3% to 100% and then back down after working on a process. The free memory just seems to get smaller all the time.
VERY slowly but enough I have to quit Vivaldi even though I haven't loaded anymore tabs or gone to others...fans kick on as did now.
I am streaming a radio station while I work. It uses FLASH, at same time I had a Soundcloud tab but hadn't opened it or gone to it since loading Viv. CPU went to 100% and free Mem down..ever since that it has been jumping up and down.
Leaves me unable to use the browser I WANT to use Vivaldi, but SO close! I am sure these problem will be whipped soon and it will be my Xmas gift. Hint Hint

Win 7 64
@g_bartsch:For me Vivaldi could easily release a stable version long before it had all my pet features (i.e. split bookmark pane line O12, a window panel, history panel, etc.).
Purrfectly said …ditto. I don't care if it needs to do back flips for now, we have time
-
I see that as well. Not noticed it before. Will look into that.
-
could you update your icon for windows 10 start menu. Opera made their icons much larger and they look nice. Could Vivaldi do the same. Thanks
-
- bookmark doesn't remember sort settings after closing bookmark e.g it automatically defaults to manual when I want it sorted by title
-
Are you that person who goes into a busy coffee shop with a long queue, puts their bag down on the seat of the last unoccupied table and then joins the back of the queue?
-
Who needs a count of their bookmarks?
This is just useless clutter that detracts from the interface. If they were clearly visible I cannot think of any use for them.
In Opera 12.17 opera:config Confirm Open Bookmark Limit can be set to whatever a user wants to avoid opening too many bookmarks by mistake.
-
crashes here from time to time on www.spiegel.de
can anyone confirm?
It's one of the most important german news sites, so maybe someone should investigate this. -
I reported this as a bug. (VB-10974)

Unusable. Uninstalled. Reverted.
For the first time ever for me, a snapshot is unusable. That is not bad going guys!
Anyway…
Tab Thumbnails don't always load. Not a big deal.
However, after a short while using Vivaldi, the tab popups (whether empty or not) start to persist and so, as I mouse up and down the Tabbar with 6 or 8 tabs open, the right-hand edge of Vivaldi becomes filled with overlapping Tab Thumbs. At this point, the content of each tab doesn't appear when I click the tab. Browser now unusable cos I can't see any new or old web pages.
Uninstalled, reinstalled 321.3, installed 330.3 again. Same thing happens.
Uninstalled 330.3, reinstalled 321.3 and all is well again.
Tabs Position (o)Right Side
Tab Thumbnails, [x]Page Theme ColourVista 32 with an ATI X1300PRO video card. 2GB RAM, oodles of HD, bags of chutzpah, etc.

there are also crashes on www.faz.net and on www.zeit.de, two other big news-sites.
Maybe it's the same adserver which causes the problems ? -
Please,
**
we need all the Opera 12.x keyboard shortcuts!**For example, "ctrl+click" for saving images.

Confirmed!
