Snapshot 1.0.330.3 - Trash folder for bookmarks and notes, plus panel hiding
-
That's the ultimate goal.
Sweet! I hope I can do something like this: http://screenpresso.com/=M6hHb I would like to place the address bar directly above the content area and the navigation buttons to the right end of that row so I don't have to move the mouse all the way to the left each time. This arrangement should cut down on mouse travel by a large factor.

I checked, but neither Opera 33, nor Firefox even have the option to open a tab in the background on the right-click menu
It's much easier to use Ctrl + Click or Middle click in Vivaldi, but at least Open in Background tab is on the link context menu.
Ditto, regarding the number of columns in Speed Dial. Six columns works well for me on 1920x1080 @ 125% Windows Display settings, and 110 or 115% UI Zoom in Settings Appearance, but people have all kinds of screen sizes, and different personal preferences for zoom levels and Windows display settings.
I am sure that the Developers already have more speed dial customisation options on the road-map, but it's not a huge problem. Create some speed dial folders if you need more slots.
-
Yeah, these other browser open a link in new tab in the background BY DEFAULT, but have no way to open that same link in the foreground, if that was what you wanted to do. Opera 12 and Vivaldi offer you both options.

Instalei hoje o Vivaldi Net Navegador. Vamos ver como se comporta. Marcos.Seguros.-* Até momento está funcionando normal.-*
Today installed Vivaldi Net Browser . Let's see how it behaves . Marcos.Seguros .- * Up time is running regular .- * -
Periodically I start Opera Developer to see if it has become usable - and alas it hasn't: but I did notice it does have the type of scroll bars with no space beside the scroll tab: http://screenpresso.com/=il51e Please please Vivaldi in time.

I have reported the <datalist>issue from last time to Chromium</datalist> to see if it's a browser engine problem.
Everything else seems absolutely fine, but I still need client certificates

I reverted back to the 1.0.321.3 version, this snapshot is not really usable for me with the tab freezes. Uninstalled, kept user data, installed the previous version, everything went fine, my settings/session were kept.
Waiting for the next snapshot, keep up the good work, guys! -
So; I have at the moment 11 tabs open. The 5 leftmost ones are pinned, and the 6 others are not. Everything seems fine when I open Vivaldi, but now, after a little while running (seems to reproduce itself after a restart of Vivaldi as well), I can observe the following (going from left to right, clicking on each tab):
tab 1 (pinned): OK.
tab 2 (pinned): NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is still the content of tab 1.
tab 3 (pinned): OK.
tab 4 (pinned): OK.
tab 5 (pinned): NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is still the content of tab 4.
tab 6: NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is a solid white background. Reload button grayed.
tab 7: NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is a solid white background. Reload button grayed.
tab 8: NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is a solid white background. Reload button grayed.
tab 9: NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is a solid white background. Reload button grayed.
tab 10: NOT OK. Indicates as selected, but content is a solid white background. Reload button grayed.
tab 11: OK.Kinda frustrating and basically renders the latest build unusable.

That's most annoying bug for now.
-
Tabs are freezing sort of randomly on this snapshot.
I think is related to loading tabs in background, crommiumn render engine hangs or something like that… -
Thanks for your hard work!
I may not be using Vivaldi everyday but I appreciate your effort.
I'm waiting for return of quick site permission window (so we could disable images/scripts globally and quickly enable them on select pages) -
Doh !
Thank you 3Phase !
However the Close Tab option should be grayed out or not present on the right click menu when desactivated,

Comment:
I haven't seen this mentioned in a LONG while (not unless I am missing something again).
In MY case I wouldn't have so darn MANY tabs OPEN IF I had "session save and name of session" available.
IE: Saves all your open tabs so you can start blank new one.. I have many I want to go to again but aren't that important to bookmark or speedial.
Has everyone forgotten that feature? Seems really handy to me. -
That's called amazing.. or a good way to get your bag stolen.
-
Can anyone confirm that Vivaldi completely freezes if there's multiple Vines on one Twitter feed? Been noticing that happen and trying to guess which process is the one causing Vivaldi to hang is annoying.
-
The keyboard shortcut for Find In Page, numpad ".", no longer seems to work?

Oops, posted this on the wrong build yesterday…
This is a follow up to an earlier comment about adding a Speed Dial thumbnail. I just tried to add a new thumbnail. As is habit from other browsers, I opened the site in the browser tab, then opened a new window showing the SD, and then clicked on the +. At which point the problem immediately slapped me in the face: unlike other browsers, which show the currently open sites so I can readily add the new one, there's a blank box, alongside of which is a long set of scrollable mini thumbnails that are completely irrelevant to the task at hand, i.e., not one of them is the thumbnail I'm trying to add. Hence, to add a thumbnail, I have to manually enter the URL twice: once in a new tab to get to the desired page, and then after copying that URL, to enter it into the SD + box. And to make matters more complicated, since the SD thumbnails are large and few to a row, without any way to adjust them, and in addition there's no way to search the SD page, it's difficult to find if the desired thumbnail is or is not already there. This whole SD setup sure seems screwy, very much in need of work to make it inviting. -
Nothing special about this browser when you remove design clutter for speed dial and tab colorization on off and that's about it.
Folders can be only deleted from trash
Can't see download speed anywhere -
Google stops working! When I go to
https://www.google.com/ ,
it redirects Vivaldi tohttps://www.google.co.jp/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=DA8dafd3lksaf9dkl
(<- This last string is a random one I've just made up) , and then Vivaldi says "This webpage is not available".```
https://calendar.google.com/ (redirected to https://calendar.google.com/calender)These google services just work on Safari, Firefox, and w3m. (Um, the calendar or maps doesn't quite "work" on the text browser w3m, but that's a different story. :-) I'm on Mac OS 10.11.1 and Vivaldi is the latest public snapshot (1.0.330.3). How to debug?
-
Could be due to Chromium 47, but soundcloud freezes Vivaldi a lot when trying to play music. Hasn't happened in past snapshots. I have to close the browser as I'm unable to clock on anything in it when it freezes.
