Snapshot 1.0.321.3 - Tab closing improvements and extension fixes
-
the only problem in Vivaldi usage is the download bar, when i download a file the panel open and don´t have a autop-close option i need manually close or navigate with less read area.
-
can be disabled in settings
-
you have to open vivaldi://downloads in a tab
-
Download's panel needs some love from devs. Showing the download speed is a must in a browser like this
-
as mentioned before, you have to open vivaldi://downloads and you will see the speed.
isn't perfect but it is ok. unfortunately you cannot open the tab via the panel. for now i made a speed dial entry.
i miss an "open containing folder" in that tab view (while downloading). it is only present in the panel. -
Yes, I know about vivaldi://downloads, but isn't the solution
-
Turn off "Open Download Panel Automatically" in Menu/Tools/Settings/Downloads.

Guys, I just discovered this project on a blog. You don't know how excited and how damn happy I am to hear that a new team joined together to build a great browser again. I thought that a truly useable browser won't be distributed after opera 12. But I use Vivaldi for 5 minutes now, and I already fell in love. Finally, a sidebar, customizeable shortcuts to enter a search, notes and all that stuff I missed so much in current browsers. Aww… I love you. Honestly. Keep going, there's a big crowd, who needs you!
-
I think that was understood. It was offered as a workaround until the developers have time to improve the downloads panel.
-
I'm getting shaky for a Vivaldi fix soon.
-
Is anyone able to open Twitch? As in the game streaming site. Twitch.com.
-
Yup, I see this also in my Vivaldi: 1.0.321.3 (Beta) (32-Bit)
Another search box problem:
Open a new Tab and click with the mouse into the search box. The cursor blinks one time and then the cursor disappears. The search box does have focus (arrow down chooses the search engine) but it is not possible to type your search. You always have to double click the search box. -
At least on my OSX installation, the title text fadeout position in each tab marker now doesn't get updated until you switch focus to another window. So if you press command-t a bunch of times, to open enough tabs to squeeze tab widths down, the smaller tabs have abruptly cut-off (not faded-out) titles, unless you switch to another window. Then if you switch back to the Vivaldi window and press command-w a bunch of times to clear away those new tabs, you'll find the remaining tabs are stuck with titles that are faded out too far from the right end of the tab.

Enjoy discovering this new browser I just found on the beta release date. Thanks. Importing "passwords" seems difficult for all O/S but wouldn't mind reading some personal positive experiences for Linux Mint. Importing from latest Chromium or Opera 12.

I'm having trouble at work loading this form with Vivaldi:
http://www.fda.gov/downloads/AboutFDA/ReportsManualsForms/Forms/UCM048334.pdf
I've had this bug with several US Government forms.

Hmm, I just tried the Toggle images function on the Status Bar and selected No Images. It works on the current page, but if I load another page, all images are shown.
Is that correct?
(the indicator on the status bar seems to indicate "No Images")Win7x64 Vx32

Helsten, that appears to be the way the Image toggle works for now.
I think the plan is to eventually make it stick for all pages so you don't load the images on the page, then toggle them off.
