Snapshot 1.0.303.40 - Beta Candidate with tab and import improvements
-
Small feature request: I have many tabs open (on the right) and several tasks I have to work on at one time: Some of them are more urgent/important than others. I'd like to have the possibility to mark a tab so that I can detect the actual important tab at once. Maybe a tab could be marked when clicking on its favicon once. The favicon could get a distinctive border around it when marked. The mark could get rid of by simply clicking on that favicon again. Easy to use. Nothing big but I think it could be useful for some powerusers. Thank you for reading this. And thank you for Vivaldi!

Its Friday!

Kewl! What the hell are you doing up at this hour? Isn't it too early to be working on a Saturday?
wild night?
…so you messed the days -
Not good…
It seems a little... smooth? But that's now.
I opened it and received an update notification. Installed, closed Vivaldi and then... my PC restarted. Ok, nothing damaged except that all information I had in it vanished, Vivaldi now is like new.Win7 64bits Vivaldi 32bits

A BUG?
My UI just frozen. Though, I could browse tab previews I could not change tabs and so on.
Also I could not close Vivaldi by clicking the "close" ("X") button BUT it worked well by "Close window" index menu on the task bar (so Vivaldi was running well but UI - CSS?? not).It was totally random - waiting for confirmations.
(was so angry that I did not test more about what is and what is not possible )
W8.1 x64 with this x32 build -
added to the web panel mobile.twitter.com, twitter.com are now automatically switches to mobile.twitter.com
-
On the button associated with the panel you can choose to use the desktop version. There is a right click context menu on that allows you to do that. The mobile view is default.
-
I get "Software update" error, "can't find update information, are you connected to the Internet?" Well, as a matter of fact, I am. W10 64-bit, Vivaldi 1.0.303.40 32-bit

Hello, Thanks for a very promising new browser!
I would like to make my first bug report.Dragging and dropping a page from the url bar to empty space on the bookmarks bar seems to be broken! You have to drag it over an existing bookmark and only after that you can drop it in empty space. If the bookmark bar is empty, you can't drop at all! Workaround is to add through the speed dial.
-
confirmed. Feel free to report it via "bug report" page.
W8.1 x64 with this x32 build -
I can confirm. Win XP 32 Vivalid 32 and Win 7 64 Vivaldi 32 but for me it's not a showstopper, it's just a curiosity
-
I can confirm it! Happened to me as well when i tried to update from last build to this one. It even happens when no update is available.
-
It happned to me too.
It happens to me every time I change the UI sacle to 80% and then close the settings tab.
win7 x64 Vivaldi x64 -
thanks. Just happened to me again. I was not scaling so it has also different triggers.
notices:-
I CAN open a new window (not by ctrl+N, though. But by Windows taskbar context menu), also I CAN see tab thumbnails and previews when hovered even I can trigged content menu of the page.
-
I can NOT open any sub-menus, minimize window, close window by standard way, reload page, type in address bar (or even focus search bar), also I can NOT change tabs, show panels, use shortcuts in general…
gonna report it right now.
PS: the UI scaling did not trigged the bug here so it's a bit more random I guess...
edit: VB-10356 have fun

excellent idea !

I like the idea!!

My bad. I have today off. Felt like Friday to me. 3 day weekend.

.. Private tabs rather than private window for Chromium-based browsers is a more fraught proposition. I'm not gonna say they will never do it, but it's not simple, and I don't expect it any time soon. They have said once the browser in general is stable, they are likely to look at the possibility of private tabs.
Otter browser already has private tabs….

Is it fixed for you in the latest post-beta build? You can try to make a fresh install and verify if it works correctly, then add the extension and check if it got broken or not.
