Snapshot 1.0.303.32 - Beta Candidate

The way to avoid duplication of the app icon on your taskbar is to delete the one that is there, open Vivaldi, and pin the resulting appearance on the task bar.
-
100% correct.

If I remember right, you guys said you would be adding Bing into Vivaldi, yes? I already added it as a Search Browser, but (for whatever reason when I did add it) everytime I go to search something it just takes me to the start page for Bing. This isn't a huge concern, but I'd like to have Bing in the arsenal of Search Engines that my Vivaldi Browser has.

Hm.. accessing extensions' options through web panel still causing crash.

Thanks to you Ayespy and ahoj1234 ! Replies helpful and efficient.

1. The "loaded tab" indicator (cut-off corner) is not very visible with dark theme
2. Ability to delete previous entries in input boxes (which are used for autocomplete)
3. Image properties like in old Opera
4. Moving zoomed in images with LMB -
Using the 'Search for' function opens a search in every window (private or not): http://oi61.tinypic.com/121wkfc.jpg

Unless you have a custom Search setup, Bing is the DEFAULT search for Vivaldi. I changed mine back to Google, but Bing is still there as an option I can select any time I use the search box, or by entering "b" with a space after it before I put the search term into the address bar.

1: Works for me
2. There seems to be a problem with the x64 build because the updater seems to forget to ask for admin rights in the x64 version if it is installed in the default location from what I've heard.
3. As soon as the DEVs have enough time to thoroughly test it - which might take a while. One of the problems is that the core itself is marked as experimental, which means that there is a huge amount of testing necessary. Other than that: I have installes various 32 and 64 bit builds and all of them seem to be fairly stable atm
4. frozen? Like in "The tab doesn't react anymore"?
5. I know the person who hand-crafted several of the nice logos that come with the default install and that's the reason why I know that you can't do it apart from hacking the right file atm.
6. I would like to know that too - ask the employees and put me in the CC if you get an answer

Also, some remarks about the Norwegian translation of the text in the right click dropdown menu in the screenshot:
- 'linken' should be 'lenka' or (if you insist) 'lenken' (you've used the word 'lenke' in the second last option of the menu)
- 'Open link in background tab' should be 'Ã…pne lenka i ei bakgrunnsfane'
- 'linkadressen' -> 'lenkeadressa/lenkeadressen'
- The use of accented vowels is inconsistent (first time: 'Kopiér', second time: 'Kopier', and also 'Inspiser')
- 'Skriv ut…' -> 'Skriv ut ...' (whitespace before ellipsis)
-
Are you sure you are using the latest version? Mine says "Albânes - Shqip" now because that comes before "Alemão - Deutsch".
Known bugs VB-9560 and VB-9561

Once Beta is rolled out, there should be two separate update streams, being Beta and Snapshot. If for no other reason, the fact that a new Chromium engine is rolled out every few weeks should obviate the likelihood of a six-month wait to the next Beta.
-
Portable build? Do you mean the stand alone install option?
If yes: Never stopped working for me on Win … -
We are doing some serious work there as we speak.

Tab Cycler: Thumbs are still randomly missing (but much better than previous snapshots)
Win7x64 Vx32

When trying to install new version via automatic update, it does not install itself, showing the error message saying "could not create temporary directory." And yes, I did check my security settings for my temp folder to make sure my user account (admin account) has the authority set to "full control." I don't know if it's just me or not, but I've been installing a lot of other programs, and found this problem only for vivaldi.

unless I missed a recent addition of those being added, in which case I apologize for mentioning it.
~Nah ya did not … all devs are using sidebar bookmarks though i guess. Tough luck for us.

The news keeps getting better and better!

Sadly, (almost) all of them are chromium strings… These strings should be hunted before a very first final version. Now lets these bugs rest for a bit.
But to ensure you: it's the same for other languages as well. Chromium is poorly translated and it's known.

Yep, the Windows x64 installer needs to finally ask for elevated rights like every other installer on the planet
