A minor glitch: I open a link in a new background tab. After switching to that new tab the webpage is rendered only on a small area of the drawable browser window (it looks like this). After a few milliseconds (in rare cases it can be up to two seconds though (but I have a rather slow computer)) the content is spanned over the whole drawable area as it should be in the first place.

BUG: Disable tab-stacking.
Menu item to "Group Similar Tabs to Stack" is still available, and GUI still indicates that tabs can be stacked by grey shading of tabs on dragging over other tabs.

Minor annoyance (Bug?): When opening Speed Dial, the cursor is focused in the address bar by default. This means whenever I try to use a shortcut key (Option+D for example) it types it in the address field instead of initiating the shortcut.
BUG: The history in Quick Commands is still very buggy. Sometimes when you type something it doesn't show your history that matches. And at times when you type it again it shows up. In short, it does not always display your history results and you need to re-type it again. Please look into this.
BUG: When you clear finished downloads in vivaldi://downloads, it does not automatically clear the downloads in the Downloads side panel. You still have to click the broom icon.

I presume that this is on the Mac. On Windows the shortcuts work in spite of focus being in the Address field. Surely one would expect focus to be in the address field on opening the speed dial? Why would one want to open Developer Tools to examine the Speed Dial page?

Under the current scheme, no folder is required to be named "Speed Dial." Your proposal would require this. Further, ANY folder can be displayed in Speed Dial and in the Bookmarks Bar. This versatility is unique in browsers. If you segregate the two, you kill this flexibility, plus you complicate future sync efforts. If everyone has bookmarks that are just bookmarks, and has the ability to display them in whatever manner and in whatever portion of the UI they choose, then all that has to be done to sync everything is to sync the content of the bookmarks file in the profile, and this can be accomplished, bug-free, with relative ease.
If some users have a segregated Speed Dial and others do not, then sync becomes quite fraught. All profiles cannot be treated and synced the same.
If everyone has to have speed dial segregated from other bookmarks, then the flexibility we so admire is lost.
I'm a little puzzled why any user can't just have a single folder they name Speed Dial, display this one and only this one in their startpage just because that is how they like it. Perhaps you can explain why this freedom doesn't work for you, and why you need the other structure?

I'm having exactly the same problem in windows 7 vivaldi 64bit and in gentoo linux (stable). when pressing Ctrl+AnyNumKeypad, the key is confused with a letter.
funnily enough this triggers unwanted actions: for instance Ctrl+/ is interpreted as Ctrl+O, so it launches the "Open" menu (the default shortcut for Ctrl+O)

Way too obscure.
Click Vivaldi Button, Open Help menu, Select menu "Cheat Sheet." Then close the cheat sheet and execute the command.
Better to just do Ctrl Q or F2 to show the Quick Commands, then select the command that one needs.
This is worst than bloat, which no one has to use if they don't wish to, it actually adds to user confusion because it doesn't execute commands like the Quick Commands shortcut, and the dialogue cannot be left open like the Settings Dialogue.

Unable to copy/cut text from address bar

Very, very buggy release. Tabs to sides are basically not usable anymore, as there is no scrolling bar when you open a few tabs. Its like the extra tabs are invisible, you know they are there but can't see them. You cannot scroll to all tabs anymore as the arrow button is gone. The scroll with mouse button must have broken something, either way I dislike this and I would like to disable that. There is no need if you have tabs visually already.
Enter does not work either. In the url bar, you select or type a url and you cannot browse to it as enter does not work. Selecting it and clicking on it does nothing either, including thee history of visited websites, you cannot go to any selection. Zoom with keyboard does not work either. The search engine bar does not work either. I could go and on but this release is extremely buggy. Bad idea to release versions on Friday, I know have to use a broken browser until next week.
Please try to move your releases back to Monday, this way you can work that week on the new bugs or release a new version if there are critical things.

I just assumed that's where the problem is. Yes, when I think about it, it should be there by default. Sorry about that. Let me rephrase it: The actual bug here is that it should trigger the shortcut despite having the focus in the address field. So it only works when I remove focus from the address bar. And yes it does work on my Windows machine.
Not sure what you meant by the dev tools but the shortcut Option+D in Mac is for the Downloads panel. Dev tools are Shift+Cmd+I

As long as you are adding wheel gestures, please add an option to use the wheel for zooming.

That's utterly disappointing. Also, still no per-page custom options, suprised it wasn't implemented by now.

Very nice to see things progress!
I think I've spotted a strange bug - if I'm on the Speed Dial and hit F8 (or focus the address field with the mouse) I can't go up and down with the arrow keys nor I can select anything with Enter. Is that known? If not, should I report it?
As for mouse wheel tab switching, it took me a while to notice it and figure it's actually that what was meant by "better mouse support". Very nice to have it, I suppose it will have customizable direction later on (because now I expect RMB + Wheel Down to go one tab right when using tab bar order). -
1. Closing a tab makes the next tab lose focus thus shortcuts specific to that tab (such as "Ctrl + W") stop working and you have to manually select the tab again…
2. Feature Request : Ability to find text in page using Regular Expressions... It'd prove so useful... but I know it can't be a priority... just sayin':roll:

Paste, Paste as plain text and Paste and go (hit Enter where necessary) and, if you have at least two tabs - mouse wheel changes tabs instead of scrolling, otherwise it doesn't scroll page you're viewing. Right click on page to fix this. Both Ctrl +V and middle click work as expected. I don't know if it is a new issue because I was always using search field. Linux 64. Windows 7 works fine.
Btw. I am really, really glad to see ruario in Vivaldi team. His blog article convinced me to use Slackware long time ago. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life.

I thought the same. Ctrl+Shift+B should open a full window bookmark manager, it's way more practical. And please, don't forget to add a bookmark pop up window when we have address bar disabled… And/or the option on right click menu...
