Windows server 2012 - The check for update function doesn't work
-
also, have you gotten any crashes when you attempt to change settings? I'm not sure if the reason I'm getting these crashes is due to skin customization or if many people are experiencing this type of crash too..
Your crashes are just random not after settings changes right? -
I really like this snapshot. It feels much faster and it seems to be using less RAM.
I've noticed 2 bugs (W7-64, V-32):- Could not clear history. Clear history button does not do anything.
- File -> Save as is not displaying correct file name. Ctrl-S or right click-> Save as works fine except showing file size 0 bytes (saving as MHTML).
-
Describe how it "doesn't work" please, and specify what version number you are on.
-
Interesting; I now can't reproduce it this morning. It happens for me on my laptop and work desktop. But it would appear only in some situations, I wonder if Vivaldi has to be open for a certain duration first. I shall gather more info!
-
Actually; just repro'd it. Open Vivaldi, then play video from news.bbc.co.uk or something. Open a new tab, go to a new page with some text on tit. Highlight and drag a small way then release!
It's not all the time, however I managed to fight with it and capture it with Cropper: http://i.imgur.com/ogfxlYF.gif

I can confirm the vivaldi settings redirect and non-scrollability on an Intel Core 2 6300 1.86 GHz running Vista32. So, quite different from your system.
But, while I'm typing here, I notice that …
The tooltip over the settings page says: chrome-extension etc.
You too?
(and now I can't post this cos the forum keeps telling me 'invalid token' {sigh}

vivaldi:flags Enable tab audio muting UI control. doesn't work for me.
When audio is playing, I see the speaker icon as usual, but clicking it does nothing.

not always appearing on hover when TabBar > Left or Rightto close a tab doesn't always appear when hovering a tab if the tabbar is displayed either left or right. I'm guessing it doesn't appear about 1 time in 10. Moving the mouse up and down the displayed tabs will (almost?) always show their [x]'s and usually re-hovering the affected tab, WILL show the [x]This bug doesn't seem to happen if the tabbar is top (and I guess, bottom)

Installed! Is there any way to set it or to uninstall this extension?
-
I can confirm the issue. It happens even when the tabs are on top or bottom too. It happens quite often which is very annoying. (Win 8.1 x64)

Enable Close Tab on Double Click in Tab Options in Settings.
Problem solved -
Am I the only one (didn't find any report about this obvious one):
The mouse gesture RMB-drag-down in order to "open a link in a new tab" is broken for me, it is replaced by "close window" instead. Is that intentional? -
Okay, it's probably not the video hardware.
You're right, the tooltip on the settingspage tab says: chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjk… (truncated)
I can't find the toggle to turn off ~ "open settings in a window". <grimace>so I can't get a tooltip for the regular Settings tab invoked from the Vivaldi/Tools menu or the little "cog" at the bottom of the multi-purpose flyout for Bookmarks/Mail/Contacts/Downloads/Notes.</grimace>

It still won't crash the UI here but now that it's been run through a few hoops and I've thoroughly beaten the text input and select functions:
The Ctrl-F "Find in page" box is stuck open at the top of the page and won't close even after deleting the search term. It still searches the page just fine though, even when you delete and add new terms. Closing and reopening the page makes it go away.
The sidebar toggle arrow/pointer/indicator-thingy just flips directions when it's left-clicked, then ten or fifteen seconds later the sidebar will open or close and the arrow will flip to match the open or close state. Do not keep clicking on the sidebar toggle, it buffers mouse-clicks. The "Show Panel" toggle works immediately.
button disappeared for most of the tabs but they reappear on a long-hover or mouse-click. Ctr-Tab to select the tab(s), then Ctr-W will close them every time with no mousing around with or without the [x] button. -
Yeah purely random. No crashes when changing settings. I do experience crashing when trying to open extension options though (eg. uBlock options). Sometimes it opens and sometimes it crashes.
I think it only highlights the tab previews in a very light gray color. But that is only if you hover on the tab's preview. The active tab's preview should have a highlighted border with a very noticeable color (eg. blue or the website's color) even when not hovering on the preview itself so you'll know immediately which tab you're in. The problem is that it makes you rely on just the preview screenshots of the tab, which can be very confusing with a lot of tabs in a stack.
-
Yeah purely random. But I do get crashes when opening an extension's options/preferences.
-
Yup I noticed the latest snapshot doesn't highlight tab previews/tooltips when hovered.
The default behavior should be that the active tab should have it's tab preview already highlighted (or at least a colored border like with O12) even without hovering. The problem is that it makes you rely with only the tab's preview to know which tab you're in in a stack, which can be very confusing most especially if you have a sea of tabs in a single stack.
-
Alas, it doesn't fix the problem.
(Yes, I know it was a joke but I tried the setting anyway and for a while, I couldn't reproduce the bug and my hopes rose… and were dashed. )
-
Kay, I don't use mouse gestures but I tried it to see what happened:
RMB-drag-down and RMB-drag-up both reopen the last closed tab.
