Snapshot 1.0.167.2. Better keyboard-shortcut editing and user statistics

Thanks for the reply Olli. Users can draw their own conclusions by reading this document and studying the contents of file Local State under the heading "rappor" .
After doing some testing I confirm that a new ID is created every time Vivaldi is started. I can see no privacy issues there.

Hi, i always have "do not track" enabled.
But u can see my info in the bug reports i send. One more thing, speed dial thumbs always get blank if i clear browsing data. Can V team do something to prevent sd thumbs to be deleted by this way.

First Vivaldi experience. Installed TP3 a few days ago and now this snapshot. Looks pretty cool!!
List of things I miss most is short and (so it seems to me) easy:
1. Keyboard shortcut for "Go to Homepage"
2. Presto-Opera's "Click on Tab to minimize" – great for toggling between 2 pages
Looking forward to more awesomeness to come! -
what is the "accept language" item, exactly?

bug: my windows'7 64 bit TP3 auto-updated to the 32 bit 1.0.167.2 snapshot. I had to remove them both and re-install the 64 bit 1.0.167.2 snapshot from scratch.

@Gwen-Dragon:
Downlaod problems of Windows Snapshots
Sometimes the download process runs up to 80-90% of file and stops.
I had to restart download from zero.
Not funny for about 40 MByte on slow DSL.I know the issue is already reported. But…
Please consider more robust download! Thanks for pointing it out again. (thumbsup)
Bugging me (and a lot other users) since first release.
Never the less, it got better, since the first few releases only allowed me to download a few kb with a slow connection and then stopping with a "network error", now it goes halfway through and then stops. -
Right clicking on a existing tab and choosing "New Tab" still doesn't work. No new tab appears.
Windows 8.1 x64, Vivaldi x64.
Hey, people, please make the panels open as full windows. At least the mail, bookmarks and notes ones… Those right side panels are so tight...
Yeah! Now it's possible to hide address bar (or I just realized that now...)...
-
Another issue found: can't log on to Disqus using Facebook account - Vivaldi only problem.
-
Speaking about 2nd TP3 - I got Ilya's internal message to translators like it's just a repacked TP3 with translations without any new fixes. So it wasn't considered as a new builds by me.

The Keyboard Shortcuts on the Settings dialog should be in the same order as they are on the Panel Toolbar.
1. Bookmarks
2. Email
3. Contacts
4. Downloads
5. NotesCurrent order is: Mail, Downloads, Bookmarks, Contacts, Panel, Notes.
The default shortcuts could be better, but not everyone will want to use the same as me: Ctrl 1 to Ctrl 5.

Sometimes, pressing "enter" in the address field doesn't validate the url. I have to use "ctrl+enter" to successfully validate the url. When this happen, I can't validate the url with "enter" in any tab. To fix this, I must restart the browser.

This is on our list as well. Clearly we will add enough settings for you to get things just right for you. Personally I would prefer vertical tabs to be without thumbnails, so we will find a solution to that as well.
Motto : When in doubt, make it an option.
Not that this is a question of doubt. It is a question of choice.

This is all in steps. We have a number of things we are working on to increase the performance. These things will gradually make it into builds. Hopefully the first steps will be in the build next week.

Thanks!

This is on our TODO list.

You got it right there. We want Vivaldi to be just right for you. And we know that you all have different requirements to get it just right for you. Our goal is to make Vivaldi adapt to your needs. Out of the box it should be good, but after some time tweaking settings it should be just right!
Cheers,

You can use vivaldi://chrome/settings/fonts for now.
I like the "for now" part. I hope Vivaldi will build in line height control for bookmark, history, etc. Thanks for listening. Loving Vivaldi!

You do realize the bookmark panel area can be made wider or narrower? Just checking. For me the panel is what makes these bookmarks usable; I'd not like to see them open in a new window.
