Ayespy is trying to point out that you're barking up the wrong tree.
Think about it the following way: Some cars attract police officers because they are typically driven by younger drivers. If you get stopped by the police now, would you notify the manufacturer of your car?I was thinking that there was nothing wrong informing Vivaldi. If I wrote a program and it got flagged I'd at least like to be informed of it so I could try and find out why, regardless if I could do much about it. Is that making sense?
-
Thanks, but don't waste your time for this. I am not interested in customising it.
I am suggesting that it should be in the logical order by default.
-
I've got it going right now - it gummed me up for a good 15 seconds where the mouse barely moved and when it did it was gummy feeling like the CPU was maxed out. Then a popup showed asking me what to clear. I used the default settings and went to the beginning of time. Then it popped up a new tab at vivaldi://chrome/settings
I'm getting nothing but a black page there. No crash. I can't confirm it using 64 bit on Debian 9 (Stretch).
-
I'd also like to note that every time I close down 64 bit on Windows 10 a dialogue pops up that it crashed and asks if I want to reload Vivaldi. Microsoft's error reporting also begins compiling data about it to send to them, but I never let it complete and send.

I love it more and more with each update. As soon as email is available, I will be giving up on Opera for good.
My main problems at the moment are based on the fact that I have a laptop with a 2560x1440 screen (221 dpi), and much of the text is tiny. So I'm looking forward to:
- Default initial zoom in settings (or Vivaldi checking with the display server's zoom setting)
- While the menus seem to listen to the display servers zoom settings, and so are readable, the tabs, bookmarks text, dialog text, and icons are tiny and very hard to read.
- File>Import>From Opera 12.x doesn't seem to be working yet. Says it is working, but just keeps running and doesn't do anything.
Keep up the great work!
-
Could you please elaborate a little more? Looks interesting.

Hmmmmm… I noticed when I let Vivaldi minimized for few minutes and above and then restore it, it freezes for some time until pages, tabs and so forth come back to respond... Very annoying...
-
Simply open a speed dial page and click on the "bookmarks" button at top, to open a full-page manager.
-
Good job!
But the recent versions, still has problem of downloading. When I try to download the attachments from my gmail, problems sometimes. The file name doesn't match the original files. When I try Firefox or Chrome, no problem. -
Yeah, it's much better now! Thanks a lot for the tips, guys…
Now it's missing only Notes and Mail full windows.
-
I've been having this problem from the beginning…
Seems as if when minimizing, some kind of Hibernation takes place and when restoring, Vivaldi tries to wake up from it...
Nevertheless it hurts performance, and when talking about Performance, you can always find me nagging in here !
-
Sure. I just wanted you to know that Ayespy is right about what he was saying. If you want it to get fixed quickly, you need to tell the AV provider directly. We appreciate your notice of course, but it takes longer since you need to notify us and we need to notify them in turn.
-
That is quite interesting. Exact similar thing happens to Opera developer over here, but not with Vivaldi. (Win10#10074)

Something about Tab Thumbnail generation has been bothering me for some time :
1. I put Tabs to the right side of Browser (for better visualization)
2. I open a couple of links
3. I wait for the tabs to generate thumbnails when the website has been loaded
4. The thumbnails never generate unless the tab is selected and the page is shown, then a thumbnail is generatedthis takes away one of the usabilities of Tab Thumbnails : to be able to quickly check if a page has been loaded instead of clicking on the tab and opening it…

Which OS is this?
I'm using a 3200x1800 13" display myself and everything is fine here on Win10. -
Ubuntu 14.04
-
One minor annoyance is that anytime I right click on marked text only Google is presented as search engine for that text. In the old Opera the standard-search engine is presented instead which I prefer.
-
Yeah, we know about this. Will be changed eventually.
-
thank you for your open words towards the statistic "feature"! And, of course, for a new snapshot

Vivaldi keeps inserting "undefined" into the URL bar for some reason. I'm not even doing anything, it keeps doing it on its own.
