Text highlighting problems with v1.7.735.27 32bit
-
Hi.
I'm using Win7/64, Vivaldi 1.7.735.27 32bit (Extensions: uBlock, uMatrix, Disconnect)
When I'm trying to highlight standard text on a website, say mouse-click and drag mouse to the right, sometimes it will simply stop highlighting although I keep the left mouse button pressed and continue to move the mouse horizontally to the right.
At the same time as I do that, the mouse pointer becomes invisible.
When I release the left mouse button, the mouse pointer reappears where I would expect it to be, farther to the right.
JavaScript on/off (controlled through uMatrix) did not lead to different results.
I hope this input is sufficient.

I have to ADD an issue which might be linked to the above mentioned.
The mouse pointer keeps disappearing if I leave it anywhere on a website after approx. 1-2 seconds.
Move the mouse -> it's back.

Settings, Webpages, hide the mouse cursor -> uncheck it
It's still sometimes buggy and disappears even if in the current tab there is no video playing, I prefer to have it always and hide it myself when it's not needed, than having it disappear randomly -
@iAN-CooG Thanks for the above tip. I will give it a look
BUT
now being on 1.7.735.29 I can not reproduce the error any more
AND
in addition to that, yesterday, before I updated to the latest snapshot, from a certain point on I couldn't reproduce this either.
SO
the issue VB-25461 can most likely be closed in JIRA
AS
I have to assume that it had been something that wasn't the browser itself, as I hadn't changed settings.

@RogerWilco I have seen this bug too, but it's hard to reproduce. Maybe it happens after watching fullscreen videos, but it might be some other cause. That makes it hard to fix. I also still find the mouse pointer disappearing entirely on file open dialogues. That might be related.

Honestly, I couldn't say whether I had watched something in full-screen mode; but it's definitely something I couldn't rule out.
And I have to add, that I'm kind of a tab addict, e.g. currently 103 tabs open (some stacked). Boy, that sounds so wrong :). But it's awesome that it handles these quantities so well. But yes, it could have been a full-screen video.
Speaking of full-screen: another observation I made: sometimes after full-screen the browser window expands ALL the way to the bottom, covering the Win7 taskbar. No biggie, just an observation I made 2 or 3 times.
