No Mouse Cursor when Selecting Files to Attach
-
Not only on this forum, but on all forums, there is no mouse cursor, making it hard to find the Open button, although it's not too hard to see the hover highlight for selecting a file, and one can just double-click to open the file.

It works for me, cursor may disappear when in another Vivaldi tab or window you have a youtube video in fullscreen.
-
@iAN-CooG It works for me too, but I guess that you're being sarcastic about that YT videos?
-
@pafflick no I'm not, I even reported it, if i have Youtube in full screen in one tab, alt-tab to the other vivaldi window or tab, for example to save a picture, the mouse pointer disappears as soon as I stop moving it, and in the save file requester it doesn't even show up when I move it. Exiting fullscreen from YT tab, mouse stays visible

@iAN-CooG Oh, so you're experiencing the issue that is exactly the opposite of the one that I'm dealing with. I thought you were referring to the bug that Vivaldi actually doesn't hide the cursor while watching videos in full screen on YouTube. And I was pretty sure that I already saw someone reporting it here on the forums, but I can't find it - it must've been some kind of a lucid dream then...
I'm experiencing this on both of my devices (PC and tablet) in the latest stable release of Vivaldi (both on Windows 10). On my tablet there's an easy workaround, I just tap on the screen and Windows automatically hides the cursor on touch event, but on my PC I have to move the cursor away from the view - though its edge is still visible, which can be annoying sometimes... -
The mouse cursor has returned after a reboot.

@pafflick the cursor hides in current 1.6 snapshots, 1.5 still never hides it.
the new fix for it is just too invasive -
1.6.689.13 fixes this, at least appears behaving better.
"Two windows where 1 has a fullscreen video makes the cursor hide even in other window. (VB-23733)" -
This issue has not gone away yet.

This seems to be fixed with the latest Snapshot.

This seems to have reappeared or maybe was never really fixed.

May be the same issue: I often have no mouse pointer in the "Save As" file dialog. When I move the mouse, elements in the dialog window may get highlighted, indicating the position of the invisible pointer. While the dialog is open, I even have no mouse pointer in the entire Vivaldi-Window. When the dialog closes, the pointer reappears.

@Wolfram I am not seeing it nowadays. It was, I think, related to watching videos in Fullscreen mode. Restarting Vivaldi fixes it.

@Pesala (Strange...I'm watching this topic but didn't get notified of your reply...Email in profile seems to be ok)
Well, I still have it today, using "1.10.862.6 (Official Build) (32-bit)". Yes restart fixes it. And I might indeed have used fullscreen -- going to watch out for this relation... Thanks for the hint! -
try unckecking both settings/webpages/fullscreen reminder and hide the mouse cursor.
For me (at least for YT full screen videos) the mouse cursor disappear in any case after few seconds AND I don't get the mouse cursor disappearing in other tabs or when saving as. -
@iAN-CooG Ok, will try. Thanks
