Who uses bookmarks in 2017 anyway?
Lots of people.

Delete your bookmarks and use it.
Sometimes finding a website is difficult. It may not be found via search but at the end of a long trail of web links. This is why bookmarks are needed.

Yes, though maybe there's some merit in this idea about simply not using bookmarks anymore in order to fix another problem. After all, Steve Jobs once told us that our reception sucked because we were holding our phones wrong, and darned if he wasn't right.
Actually, I find Vivaldi to be at its best when I'm just imagining running it, not actually running it. It's quite brilliant that way in every respect, including many features that aren't even there in reality, so that's what I recommend for everyone going forward.

I've copied my Vivaldi profile onto my Tablet recently and I had the chance to test the Quick Commands on a low-end device (Intel Atom Z3735F @ 1.33 GHz, 2GB RAM). I've tried with the bookmarks that I have currently (a little over 250) and the Quick Commands menu tends to freeze for about ~1 second, but I'm able to finish typing (even though the letters don't appear) and after I'm done the bookmarked page is opened. The browser itself didn't hang or crash so far.

Yes that happen. You have a lot of bookmarks?
I complained the same thing. For me it even automatically restart Vivaldi.Because I see you're in stable, you may try my trick with quick command;
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/13428/quick-command-trickIt seem fix in latest 1.7.x.x snapshot. Still slow though.
@dLeon Good to know. I also found out that a leading space character will also work for your trick. That's a good thing, because you don't need to delete it afterwards. Just hit Enter and it goes. (If it works for you, maybe you should update your trick link). Thanks.

After experimentation I found some more info:
At least in my case, the freeze doesn't happen when you type into it with the language which is chosen for your browser interface. I.e., my browser is set to Russian and Quick Command doesn't make the browser freeze when I type into it in Russian, but English text makes it freeze.
I hope this helps to find and fix the error. -

[Quick Commands] Typing gets increasingly slow with a big set of bookmarks (VB-7463) -
@rseiler Yes, fixed for me (on Linux) in latest snapshot.

@Rammix Not seeing that here with any letter, and I was definitely one of the ones who found the feature completely unusable before this build.
My only guess is that there's yet another bookmark number threshold, a higher one than before, and you're over it and I'm not. Since there's no way to count the number of bookmarks, that will be tough to know.

@rseiler It's simpler: I was on the stable branch. Noticed too late. Sorry.
