Standalone Vivaldi Profile deleted on windows reinstall
-
- I installed Vivaldi as standalone on D drive.
- When I reinstalled windows, my profile (in D drive) was deleted.
Vivaldi is the only browser where this happened, that is bad.
-
@juanvase is there an explanation for this?
-
@juanvase It's five years later. Are you saying it happened again?
A standalone install is just a single folder with all data. A reinstall of Windows will not touch any other drive than the system drive (C:) - unless of course you install Windows on
D:
which is possible. -
@pathduck just wanted a reply since there weren't any comments. sorry.

It wasn't a BSoD, just a Grey Screen of Death - Vivaldi wouldn't start, only showing grey background.
I don't test Sopranos builds, I'm satisfied with all the bugs in Snapshot. Maybe one day
Happy to help
