The sound is doubled in shorts on YouTube :(

@rethanon Please report issue to Vivaldi bug tracker, include as much detail as possible.
Once that is done, share the bug number (beginning with VB-) you got by bug report mail.

@Amnesy I had the same start yesterday also on Fedora Silverblue 42 latest that has Vivaldi installed via Flatpak

Same thing disabled everything, tried guest and private and no change in behavior of the audio.

I have Brave installed and configured exactly the same as Vivaldi and no issues with Brave.

I have a new problem on Youtube, videos (not shorts) opens muted sometimes. I've tried to restart Vivaldi and videos are not muted. So it doesn't happen everytime. But sometimes, i open Youtube, click on a video and it is muted by itself. Before my test, it was like I said, muted. After opening the video's muted sound, I restarted and It is OK. But it happens 5-6 times a day while Vivaldi is open. (Windows 10 - Vivaldi 7.3.3635.7, latest for now).

It is hard to pinpoint when this bug occurs, but I was not able to trigger it.
It only happens when I open a short (on a new tab or just on YT), I don't remember triggering it during scrolling.

having this same issue, only seems to happen when opening shorts in a new tab. have not tested scrolling. disabled all adblock and no change.

I noticed the same problem on M1 mac.
by the looks of it, it is a problem in every computer version on both Windows, Linux distros and macOS.
It's a minor thing, I'm sure they will fix it in the next update.
For me I just close the YT short and reopen

Windows 10, Vivaldi 7.3.3635.9 (updated a minute ago and restarted) has no problem with Youtube shorts now, I think it solved.
