i agree.

the problem why it's not working is that history in vivaldi is at vivaldi://history whereas in chrome it's at chrome://history and the history extensions from the chrome webstore usually put themselfs at chrome://history too.

one suggestion would be a setting in vivaldi to deactivate the chrome://history –> vivaldi://history redirection. another idea would be that the dev of the history extension would iimplement a check in which browser it got installed and if it's chrome use chrome://history and if it's vivaldi use vivaldi://history instead.

hope it will be possible soon to use a working comfortable history solution with vivaldi!

Won't take that long to the release of the Vivaldi's own really better history.

So not worth, IMO to mess with extensions made for chromium in that area.

Vivaldi history was (an still is in public release) the same as chromium, this will change soon, so just stay tuned.

maybe it doesn't fit here perfectly, but do you know if there are plans for a way to get compatibility between chrome:// and vivaldi:// links? i'm asking this because extensions using any of the chrome://-urls won't work if not.

chrome:// v.s. vivaldi:// is a matter more complex than one may think.

Theoretically they should behave the same, minus in cases where a vivaldi features replaces a chrome one, but sometimes a related bug pops out. It's a continuously evolving matter

The current history is broken. It has been broken for a LONG time. I finally figured out the problem.
