How can I access webmail.vivaldi.net
-
Hi, I try to access webmail.vivaldi.net, but there is always a error and I could not log in. Can someone help me out with this issue?
-
@XeroC You need to build "reputation".

@TbGbe I understand why now, but does this reputation system have any quantitative indicators? What specific level of reputation do I need to achieve in order to use webmail? It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the Blog.
-
@XeroC this information is not public so as to avoid spammers finding out how to game the system.

@WildEnte Thank you. I am a new user of Vivaldi. Can it be understood that if I keep using the Vivaldi browser daily, the system will automatically grant me the permission to use Webmail after a period of time? How long does it normally take?

@XeroC any activity connected to your community account will help. If you don't want to write blog posts or use the Vivaldi Mastodon instance with your Vivaldi account, or discuss here on the forum, then just using the browser while being logged in to the Sync server (which uses the account) also works. Ultimately these activities show that you are am actual person using Vivaldi's services.
People have reported getting webmail access within a few days. Some less active users have reported that it took several weeks.

@WildEnte Got it. Thanks for your clear instruction

@WildEnte

@WildEnte Your profile picture of the duck is very cute.

@WildEnte OMG. I have account on Vivaldi from beginning. I wrote few articles in my blog. I use Vivaldi Browser and synchronization is broken after couple days. I noticed that my Thunderbird on Android does not receive mail, i.e. bills!! Every 2 weeks the imap connection drops and I have to log in to mail.vivaldi.net. The account was supposed to be free.

@weep86 Vivaldi Webmail works stable here. Not sure why you have to log in every two weeks, I don't and I don't recall anyone mentioning this.
Vivaldi webmail is not free. It requires community reputation. Other services charge money or blast you with tracking ads.
-
@weep86 Do you use with your Vivaldi mail account authentication by oAUth or password?
-
@weep86 According to your profile, you joined in 2013!
Therefore your vivaldi email [weep86] would have been enabled "for free" (assuming you actually used it); no need for reputation requirements when joining that long ago! -
Thanks for the hints in this thread. We registered back in 2018 but did not use Webmail then. We recently had to reactivate our account but still have to wait for credit validation for being able to use Webmail. Ist this so?
