Lost all tabs in every workplaces after update from Sonoma to Sequoia
-
Hi,
i'd like to report a possible bug caused probably by Mac System update. Friday, I closed Vivaldi regularly like I always do before doing a big system update. I use it for work and I had 4 workspace with an average of 20-30 tabs open. I started the system update and all went good but I didn't start Vivaldi right after the update finished. Today I opened it and the 4 workspace where actually there but completely empty. No sign of recovery sessions inside Window menu, or something similar.Last time this kind of thing happened I was on Linux and it was 2-3 years ago. After making a post like this one I was bullied and mocked pretty badly by an admin of this group. I reported her but nothing actually happened so let's see if something has changed in this community.
If someone has some helps, which doesn't involve a restore from a back up which by the way is impossible, please answer. Thanks

I also lost my tabs two days ago, yesterday, and today. It had never happened before in the three years I've been using Vivaldi.
Those three times, I was able to restore tabs using the "Windows" tab, which showed a "window with X closed tabs." However, when it happened for the second time today after the update, there were no windows available to restore anymoreI lost everything. Many of the open tabs were not saved anywhere, and I don't remember the specific URLs.

Even without MacOS update all my tabs in all workspaces are gone.
Restoring the '/Users/me/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi' folder from earlier today and starting the browser again results in the same problem: all workspaces are there but contain no tabs. -
In my case, the likely reason was the Perplexity plugin. I installed it a couple of days ago in a hurry and forgot about it. Today, I was again trying to figure out what might have caused that mess, and this plugin was the first thing I chose to blame. After uninstalling it, the tabs didn't disappear like before, even after multiple restarts of Vivaldi.
Maybe it's worth verifying if other users reporting similar issues also have this plugin or others with a similar design? -
Same here. Seemed to have occured after a Vivaldi Update a week ago. Can't remember a specific MacOS upgrade, if so, it was an automatic nightly security patch.
There are more folks having this issue, obviously: https://www.reddit.com/r/vivaldibrowser/comments/1ie2bjf/vivaldi_updated_lost_all_workspaces_tabs/
I tried the proposed solution over there, but it didnt work for me.
